Youre nitpicking too much into it. In Russia it is the same way, you use different words to adress people who are older and people who are equals. 5 years is nothing. I would feel rather weird if a 15 year old guy would call me "Sir." If he refers to the manager the same disrespectful way, now thats a different story. | ||

Just because our languages have similarities you can not say that "it is the same" when the contexts and cultures are entirely different. I can see why you think this is weird, or that I'm nitpicking. This is different from calling somebody "sir". In korea, one or two years can be a big thing. Hell people always go on about whether or not somebody is "빠른 83" or something. (In korea school starts in February, so if you're born early in the year you will go to school with kids a year older). Maybe I am nitpicking a bit.. I don't really mind too much, I'm just a bit surprised because the image I had of him (as a quiet, humble kid) turned out to be completely wrong. btw what do you mean that I don't leave a better impression myself? | ||

The comment itself seems innocent, but his use of "걔" is a bit annoying. Like "너" "걔" is used to refer to a 3rd person, but only somebody who is your age or younger. Jy is 2 years older than Sea and there is really no way he didn't know that. I guess we can look over this since it was supposed to be a private conversation anyway. I can't think of anymore specific instances, but the general impression I got, from his speech and actions is that the fame and his skills have gotten a bit to his head. I don't expect him to be humble, but sometimes there are boundaries, especially in a korean society. or maybe I'm just old (compared to these programers anyway) and forgot what it was like being in middle school. Barrax are almost done for both players. I think we must get ready for a long game : ] Boxer spots Sea's building SCV and kills it!! The CC finishes about 2 seconds later tho. Not bad to get those early advantages tho!  Boxer's Factory is now slightly ahead of Sea's. Sea has opted to build 1 marine tho, and i'm not sure boxer has (now 2 marines for sea) | ||

Vulture being made now for boxer and starport too! Factory addon coming up for sea Boxer sends his vulture down towards Sea and begins an addon of his own. Sea has 6 marines and easily repels the vulture. Marines STILL STILL being made for Sea. Sea now making an academy. Starport addon being built for Boxer and more barrax?? for sea?? Sea goes in to attack w/ 6 marines and a vulture!! Boxer is going to easily repel w/ a tank and some marines Sea takes out 1-2 SCVs on the wayout tho. | ||

Vultures and MnM being built for Sea! 3 rax finished now for Sea! 4th one ON THE WAY!! Boxer is expanding to the @11 main and has 2 marines positioned at the top of the ramp. Boxer is trying to scout w/ some SCVs, but still hasn't managed to get one to Sea's base. Basically, Boxer has no idea that Sea is going MnM. 2nd factory being built for boxer now. but AAHH sea killed boxer's rax! Boxer is trying to rebuilt his army at the @11 main, but he has to start ALL OVER again w/ the barrax tech. Boxer's main is currently completely desttroyed. Sea now has a dropship and spots the @12 island expo. Sea drops it w/ 6 marines and 2 medics. GG@that expo Boxer frantically trying to rebuild at the @11 main | ||

Sea currently has: Boxers old @1 main, the @11 main + natural, and his own @5 main +natural. Sea also has alot of tanks+turrets at the @9 main guarding from a drop. Boxer drops about 7-8 tanks and begins to break the tank contain at his front However, sea brings about 12 ttanks 8 goliaths, and countless MnM to block the front SKT coach looks a little angry :[ | ||

815 III Sea @5 Boxer @1 Both players start out with IDENTICAL builds: 14CC @ mineral only natural, rax and refineries at the same time, w/ boxer beginning his Factory a little bit earlier Sea began being a little unorthodox by pumping marines constantly from his rax and trying to do a cute early game 8marine +1 vulture rush. Although boxer was able to defend w/ 1 vulture, 2 marines, 1 tank, and some SCVs, Sea was able to take out 2-3 SCVs and cause a little bit of early stress for boxer After this attack, we begin to see the late game plans for both players: Boxer has built a starport fairly early and started a CC at the @11 main. Boxer turtled his front w/ about 6-7 tanks and 1 bunker w/ marines and also began to take the @12 island expansion! Sea, on the other hand, built 4 rax and began to pump MnM and tanks for the next several minutes. intelligently, Sea had positioned vultures in the middle of the map to kill any scouting SCVs, leaving boxer in the Dark as to Sea's strategy. Things were looking pretty bleak for Sea at around the 10 minute mark: Boxer had finished the @11 main and was mining, the @12 island was almost finished, boxer had about 8-9 tanks + bunker at his natural front and Sea just had about 40 MnM and 5 tanks. Although 40 MnM sounds like alot, we've seen many players (such as goodfriend) crush allin MnM+tank rushes fairly easily w/ a small number of well positioned tanks. Then Sea turned things around: Sea pulled in towards boxers front w/ the 5 tanks and 40 MnM, but ALSO with about 20 SCVS!!! The SCVs drew tank fire long enough for Sea's MnM army to absolutely CRUSH the 8 tanks + 1 bunker of boxer. At this point, there was virtually nothing boxer could do. Sea killed both of boxer's factories AND the barrax, so Boxer couldn't rebuild anytime soon. Sea walks into boxer's main and decimates it in about 3 seconds flat Boxer of course, being boxer, tries to pull a miracle comeback, rebuilding @11 and trying to hold his @12 island expansion. Sea spots the @12 1 minute later and kills it w/ an MnM drop. Sea does some intelligent mass expanding and surrounds boxer's main w/ turrets. At this point, Sea simply masses up goliaths and tanks and continues to drop Boxer's main w/ 9 dropships until boxer types out WELL PLAYED SEA!! MBC 1:0 SKT | ||

Light still has some bad rally points and loses 2 vultures needlessly. Expansion started for Light now. Midas trying to do a cute counter attack w/ 2 vultures and 1 tank, it'll probably fall Midas has seige and seiges his single tank outside Light's front, more tanks+vultures cojming for midas, but midas decides to pull back just a tad | ||

Midas still making wraiths from 13 starports. Maybe these valkyries can turn it around for Light! Light REALLY REALLY REALLY needs to take out the @7 main. Midas is mined out at his own main and natural, so its fruitless to try to kill that off. Light moving into the middle w/ his massive army and looks to be getting ready to move down the middle. but my god midas just has SOO MANY TANKS AAAHH There's no WAY light could break that w/ ANY amount of shit Light does have a more intelligent army: vultures to break the massive tank lines, valkries for the wraiths, and lots of tanks in general. But OOOFFF i don't see how light can break much of anything at all. AAHHH Light might be trying to pull a big attack towards the @7 main! I can't tell at all! | ||

Rush Hour III Midas @3 Light @11 Midas starts out w/ 14 CC and Light immediately begins to turn on the heat w/ a 3 factory, no addon vulture rush to try to take out Midas ASAP. Unfortunately, Midas showed some cute micro and repelled the attack, killing off Light's offensive bunker THREE TIMES. Light proceeded to expand himself as he continued to put pressure on Midas w/ vultures. The game went for the long term when light positioned tanks beautifully in the center of the map and began to take the top left half. The critical battle territory was the @7 main tho. In Rush Hour TVT, its always critical who retains control of the other main. For, that player is guaranteed 1 extra gas geyser. In this match, that player turned out to be Midas. Light, of course, took the entire top left half of the map and massed on goliath+tank+vultures whereas midas, in an unexpected twist, made 30 starports and MASSED MASSED MASSED wraiths like CRAZY. Midas also had about 40 tanks floating around the center. This is an AMAZINGLY intelligent move by Midas. As the player w/ the extra main expansion, Midas is a little bit overextended, thus the wraiths are perfect for defend all the critical weak spots at all points in time. The wraith+tank combo proved to be a hell of a difficulty for Light to deal with. Light tried countless times to sweep into Midas's main natural, the @7 natural, and along the middle. Again and again, midas repelled the attacks w/ few losses. I was thinking the game was completely over, until light started to make valkyries.... ...The valkyries smashed the shit out of huge numbers of wraiths, but midas just KEPT MAKING THEM. Finally, in an epic battle, both players w/ maxxed armies clashed in the middle. It was going to be SO CLOSE, but midas seiged about 5 seconds before Light. Consequently, Midas mowed down the front line of tanks and goliaths in seconds, crippling the anti-air support light needed to battle the wraiths. Midas lost about 30 wraiths to valkyries + goliaths, but about 20000+ wraiths popped out and wiped light's army all over the middle of the map. Again, Midas had LITERALLY 30 STARPORTS pumping wraiths at the end of the game. losing 30 was nothing more than a 20 second wait for 2 new control groups. Light tried to spew goliaths from his factories in an desperate attempt to regain momentum, but the wraith numbers were just too many, and light was forced to type out. An excellent TvT, comparable to the Sea[Sheild] vs Shine[NamE] proleague match. MBC 1:1 SKT (we are guaranteed to see Canata vs July!) | ||

Iron curtain, both zergs on the right, pusan and oov on the left And now we begin the dumbest 2v2 game EVER SEEN. Both zergs do the standard early expand except that mumyung goes for mass mass mass zergling and thezerg decides to do nothing about it. Eventually, mumyung just attacks and kills thezergs front.... ...yea, i thought that was a little bit stupid too. If you can get to B- on PGT, then you can stop masszergling attacks all by yourself (perhaps thezerg is almost to C+ now) On the other half of the map, oov goes for a very cute 1 rax fast academy --> fast dropship build w/ a bunker at the front. Pusan goes for 2 gate power goon+range and gets close to busting oov's front. With Pusan's zerg ally dead out of pure fucking stupidity, Pusan has to try to do something to oov fast. That something is not seeing a MnM dropship heading for his main. After losing half his probes, Pusan tries to do an allin @ oovs main w/ 10 dragoons which gets raped miserably. GG? MBC 1:2 SKT1 | ||

Peaks of Baekdu MBC expected a SKT terran on this map. Thus, MBC chose a protoss player. However, SKT went ahead and sent out a zerg. Thus, shockingly, we have a ZvP on Peaks of baekdu Everyone figured Junitoss was going to get completely raped by Gorush, but this game turned out to be the best so far. Gorush opts for a 12 pool 12 gas fast speedling build. Junitoss surprises everyone by going 3 gateways early! Gorush tries to expand to his mineral only natural, but later cancels it and begins teching after seeing the 3 gates. Junitoss brilliantly responds by teching straight towards a robotics facility. This perfectly counters Gorush's ultra fast lurker+ling build and Junitoss appears to be in the lead. Gorush takes bottom right and begins to mass up on mutalisks and Junitoss gets a huge dragoon+reaver army. Things suddenly are looking a bit tough for Junitoss as his massive army just can't seem to penetrate Gorush ANYWHERE. Gorush has lurkers+scourge+mutalisks+sunkens at all the entrances. Suddenly, Junitoss manages to sneak up to the high ground at Gorush's only expansion. Sweeping in w/ massive amounts of dragoons, zealots, and a reaver, Junitoss crushes the expansion in seconds. Gorush tries to defend w/ about 15 mutalisks, but after 4-5 die instantly w/ 0 dragoon casualties, the game was looking all but over for Gorush... ...However, Gorush is not called the Management Magician for nothing. Gorush demonstrates his excellent decision making abilites by counter attacking Junitoss's main. Junitoss, only having 2 cannons and 3 dragoons, loses everything instantly to 15 mutalisks and 8 zerglings. Junitoss's only hope is a counter attack on Gorush's main. This counter attack destroys the sunken colonies at Gorush's front, but not before Junitoss loses a handful of zealots+dragoons to bad control/panic. Junitoss breaks the front line of lurkers+sunkens and seems surprisingly close to killing Gorush. However, Gorush returns w/ his remaining 12 mutalisks and manages to squeak out a victory over Junitoss's remaining troops. w/ no probes left and an army of 12 mutalisks about to return, Junitoss can do nothing but type out GG. Frankly, i don't see what else Junitoss could have done differently, other than prepare exclusively for a counter attack. Poor poor Junitoss and Poor Poor MBC MBC 1:3 SKT | ||

The rough terrain and odd rampiness of the map makes counterattacks EXTREMELY easy for a zerg player to pull off and leaves protoss with virtually no options. Canata is indeed... FAST EXPANDING! July sees that Canata opted for a real real low marine count and makes a few extra drones intead of zerglings. Canata moving forth w/ 3 marines. refinery down and Academy making. Canata builds a comsat and then cancells it? more sunken colonies going down for july. Tons of drones still being pumped + nothing else. 2nd gas started for July. Canata starting his e-bay and seems a little bit rattled after losing that first SCV. We've seen his CC once or twice not making any SCVs. Spire begun for July and 4th hatchery building at the ramp. July could use a bunch more sunken colonies tho. Canata picks off 2 mutalisks and July fucks up his micro a bit July has lost some mutalisks needlessly, but is still way in the lead because of his economic advantage. Don't get me wrong, his strategy was perfectly ok, I just think defilers or guardians (I'm almost sure Savior would've gone guardians) would've worked better. I could be wrong of course, I was merely stating my opinion. His muta micro was ok I thought, but rather sub-par for his standards. | ||

I literally play the exact same style on Azalea and its a huge mistake to try to kill a terran opponent at that point. There's virtually no possibility of doing any damage whatsoever, and by losing his whole army, July was under alot of pressure to rebuild a huge army fast. As a result, July was behind on upgrades and couldn't afford to make a bunch of drones for his bottom left expansions. Moreover, when Canata's big push came, had July not attack earlier, he would have had ~40 more lings and 6-8 more lurkers, easily enough to take care of Canata's attack. Sometimes when you are playing, your eyes get big and you feel like you can end the game ASAP w/ a decisive, aggressive attack. However, on a map like Arcadia where zerg can swing a huge advantage earlier by fast double expoing-->mass expoing, patience is significantly more important. If you have an economic advantage, patience should be your road to victory, not aggression. | ||
