Did they follow the WCG rules where the winner of regional from last year are auto-in for the grand final of regional?

i'm sure getting the spots for the 4 amateurs is going to be really really hard, so the nominated progamers and kespa 4-30 will have an easier time getting there. the amateur round probably includes semi-pros as well

that depends on how you define 'hard'. judging only by opponent-skill the amateur-tourneys will never be as hard as the pro-tourneys. anyway, what difference does it make how hard someones way to the finals was? if he is in and another player that could have beat him any day is out something went wrong.

no, because better player isnt an absolute thing. it all depends on style, race, etc, meaning a player maybe beat player 1 but not player 2, but player 2 could still beat player 1. theres no way to account for that, you just have to accept it.

I hope they release replays this year of the progamers.

VODs like last year aren't as cool

This is how WCG Korea is working this year.... (it's sort of complicated)

For the 2nd Round, the KeSPA ranked progamers from 4~30 minus last year's WCG winner (fOru), (so it's 26 players) are automatically included for this round along with the 6 players from the "Nominated Progamer's Qualification Round". So, this round will include a total of 32 players. (6 players from Round 1 + KeSPA Ranks #4 ~ 26, minus fOru). They will be divided into 8 groups, single elmination. First place from each group advances to 3rd Round (8 players).

here.

In Round 1 a few players of the KeSPA Ranks #4 - 30 played (Kingdom, Mumyung, SIlen_Control, ...) Do they get to try again in Round 2 ? Or are they definitivly out ?
Anybody knows ?

"Round 3: The three WCG Maps + Rush Hour 3.0"

Maybe Rush Hour will be the last WCG map ;o? I think its really bad of WCG not to release what will be the fourth map!

dunno what will replace Estrella. Might be RH, might not be. As for Beamo's question, I believe they get another chance? Also remember that it's the ranks of June, so many people around #29 or something will most likely participate in Round 1, since they won't know if they'll stay there next month.

It would be funny if WCG bowed to popular opinion and made the 4th map BGH

I don't think it will be rush hour or any other known map. In the last years, WCG always had their own maps, so they will probably present a new one.

read again!
i even put the term "any day" in to make it clear. maybe you should read the previous posts too.

ps: better player _is_ an absolute term. it just doesn't mean that you have to beat a worse player every time or even sometimes. read a book about measure theory if you don't get it.

will the replays be released?

also playing on other maps sounds unfair

generally the whole "progamers play alone" thing is unfair
make them play vs amatours, let's see if they will do that well

considering the progamers move money in korea , and there are probably at least lets say 3k participants for korea? the odds of the progamers loosing are way too high in the wcg prel.

Korea needs to send no protoss players this year please.
Our Protoss, Who art in Aiur HongUn be Thy name; Thy stalker come, Thy will be blunk, on ladder as it is in Micro Tourny. Give us this win in our daily ladder, and forgive us our cheeses, As we forgive those who play zerg against us.

Just saw the Kespa June top 30 and Kingdom, Mumyung and Silent_Control are out so I guess the coaches had already calculated their positions and knew they wern't going to be top 30 and that's why they were sent.

not in relation to starcraft. too many variables affecting who wins, and not all of them skill related.
and that being said, your post doesnt make any sense as you said if someone qualified who would lose to a player who didnt qualify something went wrong.
