No terrans on Requiem, as expected. PvZ on this match isn't that bad, and Stork beat Savior two weeks ago. This is a toss up. Game 2: Boxer/Kingdom vs ZergLee/TT on Iron Curtain Terran/Protoss in Teamplay! I think this means SKT have a one-time build up their sleaves. Will the Samsung team be able to use their experience and teamwork to defend against any cute tricks? Game 3: Midas v Zergman on R-Point. This is both coaches trying to throw curveballs at each other. Both players are surprise cards, but Boxer's absence is noteworthy. On paper it looks like Midas is the favorite. Game 4: Game 4: Canata/Rumble vs CuteBoy/JiHyun on Usan Nation The safety picks. Both teams going with their regular Usan Nation members. This will be straight up team play, and in that case it's a fight of fundamentals. Game 5: IntoTheRainBOw vs GGon on Neo Forte Joker vs Joker. Again both coaches throwing curveballs at each other. SKT is keeping their strong Terran cards dormant for now. GGon is also an unexpected entry. This is the only mirror matchup in the lineup, and it will come down to who prepared better. Game 6: Kingdom/Rumble vs ZergLee/TT on Iron Curtain Again, the safe picks. These are the best pairs for each team on this map. Kingdom/Rumble are undefeated on Iron Curtain though. Game 7: ?? v ?? on Rush Hour I'm expecting iloveoov v Jju. Rush hour is of course Jju's map, it has his name written all over it, but oov is also a Rush Hour master. In fact, oov once beat Jju on Rush hour in Round 2 of the Proleague. If the finals come down to this, expect a hell of a match. | ||

But then TT pulled ALL his probes and his zeal/probe managed to overwhelm Kingdom's zeals and forced Boxer to unsiege and run away with about 30 HP left. TT looked screwed when SKT1 came back with 6 zeals + tank, but he was building goons and once they came out they were able to kill off the low-HP tank pretty fast, leaving TT safe with his cannons. After SKT1's rush strat failed to do any decent damage, the game was basically over =P. | ||

i have felt some difficulty vs terrans on R-Point, but not THAT bad i didn't realize the TvZ stats were that one-sided nonetheless, i still feel that R-Point is one of the best maps released in recent times. R-Point ftw | ||

.Zergman totally rebuked Midas's 8 rax cheese attempt. But from that point on he did nothing but throw away lurker/ling all game. For some reason, he kept burying his lurkers spread-out in the centre, so that they can never focus-fire on any MMF, and Midas can kill them one-by-one  . | ||

the dual den+spire tech made it look he was going spire, so midas responded w/ 4rax and fast 2ebay. however, zergman then made lurkers which (should he place them properly) would hold the MMF army extremely well while a tech to fast hive was possible. Once the hive was up, the guardians were great, as the factory had finished not long ago at all, so bunches of air would not be too much to worry about. unfortunately, Midas clearly had practiced vs some lurkers, as he massed a +1/+1 MMF force extremely quickly, and pushed aggressively down the center to smash the seemingly strong lurker line of zergman well played by midas : ] | ||

Watching Midas' infantry spread out and tear through Zergman's lurkers (granted, zergman could have used them better) brought a tear to my eye. Excellent timing by Midas. Made it look easy. | ||

1. Zerglee did NOT play. Everyone including me got this wrong, but the Samsung zerg was JiHyun[jOypOp] 2. When JiHyun's zerglings were running around in Canata's base, Rumble's zerglings did a surgical strike and took out JiHyun's spawning pool. Pretty much screwed form then on. | ||

JJu is really good a Rush Hour, he defeated NaDa in a fairly one sided game. Not to say that oov isn't good at Rush Hour, but Oov recently lost to IPXzerg in TvZ, and lost his match to Rock PvT. Perhaps oov isn't feeling to great about his 1v1 on that map in general? i hope so, a SamSung win would be earth-shatteringly badass | ||

Coach of SKT talks about how he calmed the troops after going down 0-2, talks about how each player did their role and contributed. He wants to get the triple crown by winning the Grand Final as well. oov mentions having to sit on the sidelines during the Round 1 finals (he had a contract dispute which led to a half-season ban). For him, winning the last match was a sort of redemption. There's very little in terms of commentary about the games themselves. Oov talks about how he anticipated the drop by looking at Jju's build, then he advanced his troops on purpose as bait to draw the drop (which he promptly defended with no problem) There's a brief interview of the Chinese players, they say that the are happy that their team won, not much else. oov = "today I realized what it means to contribute to a team. I'll put up detailed interviews later. | ||
