well... It's the weekend and there used to be a time when everybody was present for anything and every game of bw, some even waking up odd hours just to watch live matches, no matter how insignificant.
I think Sayle is playing minesweeper inefficiently. I dont do individual minesweeping until after I opened up at least 2 major areas. Sayle is doing it with only one. Not good by my book.
I really dont like this binary color system in SC2. Why only blue and red?
What about Green? Light Blue? White? Orange? Yellow? (Nevermind brown, I never liked it). Purple? etc? What is the logic behind this Red and Blue only color.

Ling speed on the way for Jaedong, two drones left on gas for Jaedong Stream kind choppy for me =/ Ling speed for Soulkey too greenScarab building for both players
A few greenScarabs morphing at the bottom of Soulkey's nat Jaedong pops three? drones with them He's in the main, forces the drone pull Jaedong adding evo, and a sunken Looks like Jaedong took out both of Soulkey's queens too

i guess its some sort of unwritten rule?
personally purple is a good color to use in SC2.
its a little hard to distinguish purple color from zerg creep. You can choose which color to spawn, not sure why they only choose blue/red

"esports"? lol
A lot of other tournaments use other colors too so I guess it's OGN's decision to stick with blue and red.
1.5 tier hydras being added for Jaedong, third morphing in also 1.5 tier and defileReavers for Soulkey, starting the energy upgrade Jaedong going for a bust with the greenScarabs whoa oo Soulkey running his speedlings around the map
Jaedong lost a ton of his greenScarabs Lings countering the third of Jaedong Hatch is going to get killed or canceled 1.5 tier speed almost done for both players Third forced to cancel

Indeed. Stephano likes to use pink whenever he is allowed to pick a color. I've seen yellow used in GSL sometimes, as well as other colors.
Jaedong trying to counter at Soulkey's third Soulkey has a few 1.5 tier and defileReavers too Needs to spread nice Third of Soulkey falls Jaedong's 1.5 tier run out as the hatch falls
Jaedong has defileReaver tech, but he doesn't have the extra energy for them +2 ranged for Soulkey on the way +1 carapace for Jaedong Jaedong up on 22 drones
A lot of the major LANs seem to force red/blue color choices. Maybe they think it's more professional to always keep the same colors or something, IDK.

legitimate question: in SC2, is the 15hatch a BO win against 14pool? I saw the same thing in Effort(15h) vs Soulkey(14p) and they were pretty much static difference with the difference that Effort was always just a little ahead and won.

15 hatch comes out ahead by just a few drones, but it's by no means a BO win.

it's an advantage but not a BO win. The ensuing ling/baneling war matters much more than the opening in that case

Jaedong derped with his mass baneling attack that was totally unwarranted, should've just teched.

Hatch-pool-gas and pool-hatch-gas are almost exactly the same economically if done right. The difference is around 30-50 minerals at the five minute mark.

Jaedong was ahead by like 7 drones rounding near the end of the baneling wars. He was certainly in a good spot, but he took a huge gamble trying to saturate his third with 30 extra drones and it cost him the game.

That was his second mistake, he could've droned this much if he hadn't wasted 15 banelings doing nothing.
imbagates researching for Free Starport being added as the fact finishes for Baby, single fire vulture being produced on the low ground Nexus started for Free
Robo being added for Free, one gate imbagates finished Healing Dropship is done and out, a few fire vultures are out now too Dropship loaded up with eight marines Three fire vultures run into the natural
The stream lags for me =/ I think the fire vultures didn't get that many probes from the streams of fire Marines still wrecking havoc in the main CC half way done for Baby back home Fire vultures get their way into the main Probes getting roasted left and right 20 probes dying, even more, 20+ probes dead from that opening GG from Free
free got bobbed bopped (?) (Tasteless copyright) /wasn't sure on the spelling, but yeah, it means when you get completely killed by attack meant just for harassing

...granted, free was playing incredibly greedy there with virtually no army, but I still feel like that ended way too fast.
Rarg.
He supposed to have way bigger army at that state. Or at least some static defenses at the front of his base. Playing that greedy is going to lose the game to a well timing attack.
For as many times as Sang has been sent out he has yet to impress me. I'm guessing he is great in practice matches or they wouldn't have such confidence in him.

Very good defense, not as good execution on the attack. It's actually really weird being the aggressor in that situation if the defender just wont fight you straight up at first, but bides their time and gets a little defense up.

It was very impressive and I watch a lot of sc2, a lot.
Yeah, possibly the best hold I've seen yet in that situation. The 10pool all in makes me so uncomfortable that it's the sole reason why I go 15pool 16 hatch now in ZvZ
I think Soulkey could've attacked better. He went for the kill instead of creating an advantage and sitting on it. He had 2 spines in Jaedong's base if he had killed the pool then hatch and then retreated he would've been in a much better postion then Jaedong. Granted he likely would've lost both spines but he would've had a pool to Jae's no pool as well as each on 1 hatch A queen for Soulkey would've evened out the drone count fast so I think Soulkey made a mistake going for the win instead of creating an advantage and sitting on it
But props to Jaedong for being cool in the face of danger and making the right choices.

Don't forget that Soulkey was mining with only 2 drones. So he could have killed the hatch and spawning pool but then jaedong could have sent lings to his opponents base and made sure that soulkeys units were stuck on the ramp along with the spines.

He was mining with 4 drones, but never the less he coulde have done more out of his attack, it was almost effectless.

Jaedong was still ahead on drones and he could have made another pool during the time it took for Soulkey to kill his first. And a few spines placed early will more than defend any ling attacks soulkey could make. It was lose-lose imo, though he would've had a better shot with your method.

I think send the drones home, keep the second spine at JDs main to take the pool and probably hatch as well. This would probably set the game to a fairly even state. JD with drone advantage but no way of making attacking units.

All soulkey had to do was kill the pool then pump zerglings and win, he just really misjudged and tried to end the game too quickly, forgetting that he only had 6 drones (2 went to crawlers which didn't do anything) at that point with the zerglings and jaedong responded really well

If he does that, broodlings spawn when the pool dies and will kill some of his units off. Either way, JD can just produce drones while the new pool builds and with a queen + spine + lings + drones, he holds any future ling attacks. Plus if Soulkey really sits there at the pool for a long time, JD can start more spine crawlers.
