Science facilty is researching something Shuttle moving out for Tyson, drops some mine drags Double shuttle bombs! Tyson moving in with the rest of his army Stasis on a ghost, and a tank Almost no tanks left Ghost gets a lockdown on an arbiter
Leta goign to try and deny the fifth base of Tyson, at the 5 nat Kill off all of the cannons, but the nexus won't take that much damage 11 oclock natural being taken also by Tyson
Dark Archon has a single kill, feedback on ghost 2-2 for Mech 0-0-1 for Toss army Pretty huge vulture stasis Lockdown on the leaing arbiter though Zealots running towards the tanks Goons can't get through though Storm on the tanks though Leta's tank line is so deep though 157-126
Darch archon, has 2 kills, almost about to die Arbiter gets lock downed and killed 2-3 for mech now 1-0-2 for toss 7th base coming up now for Tyson at the 5 main
Tyson trying to pincer attack Mines tearing through the zealots Pretty huge storms on the tanks Equal supply ~100 Both players reset to about 100 supply after that engagement Tyson with the much better economy though, he should remax easily
Leta scouts the manner nexus now 11 oclock third is Leta's mining right now Leta going to push into the 5 oclock 3 kill dark archon, falls though Leta taking the supply lead Oh Tyson
Tyson still now adding that many gates to 11 main 5 oclock main getting shelled Huge storms on vultures and storms Tyson trying to break the tank line Suplpy still equal at ~130
Tyson finally scouts the 11 third 5 oclock natural is up and mining now About half of the minerals are mined out of the 11 third Huge mines on the speed lots Tyson wishes he had 1200 minerals in zealots
Tyson going to try and shut down the fourth of Leta Tyson getting up close and person on the tanks though CC is going to fall 5 oclock being taken by Leta now
11 third being taken by Tyson now, with only 1/2 the minerals Tyson wants to try and push into the nat, but doesn't want too Big recall into the 5 oclock main Pretty zealot heavy, only two goons Pretty big storm on the goliath Storm on the ghost too lol Nothing much lost, CC lifted and delayed mining though
omg leta I love you. always go ghosts (leta vs who was it on hbr? pure? oh also that tie game with leta pure on circuit breaker, but that wasnt ghosts)
Lock down on arbiter, but huge stasis on the tanks Tyson shutting down 5 oclock main 11 oclock force getting killed off, tons of probes gettin gkilled though Leta under 100 supply 5 oclock has no mining 12 kill vulture, those probes
Tyson has the supply lead 80-130 This game, I don't even 5 oclock third looking to get taken byTyson 5 nat is mining? Not to osure Archons being morphed in PvT. Low in minerals
Man that was a fun game. The manner nexi was way to early but tysonanaged to pull through after waisting 1200minerals. Also that ghost play was fun only sad about one thing so far today... The crowd here today is pretty lifeless

If 이제동 plays Ill give TL a shoutout
That's the beauty of it. He didn't manner nexus when the game was over. He manner nex'd like a man. Sea up next, hooray!
Mascot keeps losing rock paper scissor contests with cj fans. Nice defense killing the two reavers and shuttling his own right saved him this time. Tl.net is mimicing the audiance atm. Cheering/updating very slowly lolonce

Not only that but he saw there was alot of stalkers and sentries why not go to infestors and roaches? nope. Zerglings and mutas. Might have worked if he atleast banelinged, but he ended up a-moving the mutas into stalkers 1 time to many

It's interesting that these games are going at at the same time as the GSL Players' OSL pre-lims. I really want to see GSL vs SPL in the OSL, especially with real SC2 players in it, like Symbol and MarineKing.
I sincerely like how every ZvP starts almost identically.

Yeah but lost his army in the process, wasn't worth it imo same with infestor energy. That cost him the game was losing the army and using all his infestor energy

strange he was so slow in putting down the spines. he had to know hero would have to go for an all-in after inflicting that damage.
I'm really tired of seeing JD lose like this, they need to stop putting him out for sc2 in till they know he can win a game. Of course the team 8 coach won't do that because he knows everyone is there to see him.

Had no infestor energy to stop the blink stalkers (he used them to kill 4'th nexus). Lost his whole army to kill a nexus and the protoss lost close to nothing.
It looked nice, but in reality it wasn't a smart decision. He didn't have the bank to get a ton of bl's and roach/ling support. His infestors had no energy so he couldn't stop the blink on high ground.
Jaedong WTF man . Should have sacrificed the natural and main and Broodlords and just kill the collosus/ immortal and make a shit ton of spines at the third and fourth base .
It doesn't matter , because now we will see Effort and an ACE match , hopefully a good one where CJ wins .

traded his whole army and all infestor energy for 2 bases, without having a spine wall to stall the counter until he had broods and units to cover them

He traded his whole army + all his infestor energy for two expos, so Hero[join] all-inned in desperation and Jaedong didn't have enough to defend. Had he stalled Hero[join]'s army for about 10 more seconds, he'd have won.
Jaedong played bad, many strategical mistakes. He doesn't know the game yet TT. He could have won this hundred of times, ZvP is so imbalanced on this map.... Just too many mistakes. But he has a godlike macro i trust in him.

It doesn't favor zerg that much only like 2%. It all goes on if the toss defends the 200/200 roach push as it's hard to secure a fourth on antiga most of the time as Z.

To be honest his SC2 macro isn't that great yet.
He should have gone a huge round of drones when his fourth came up after his attack instead of going for more lings that didn't really do that much.

Yeah looks like late spines is the bane for Jaedong in SC2 also . He was notorious in BW for geting late sunkens also and relying to much on his micro , though it was the best micro in the world .

Jaedong's used to maps that actually reward aggression, rather than Sc2 tiny maps where it can actually be bad to snipe expos since protoss can walk across the map in 10 seconds and kill your base before replenish.

Well SC2 maps should become bigger in general regardless of JD or not . Most of them are medium sized and only entombed in PL makes for the best long macro games .

...No they shouldn't.
Fun fact: Tal'Darim is the most balanced map in SC2 history. The reason it fell out of favor so hard was PvP.
The problem with super huge maps like Calm Before the Storm is how much they encourage turtling. They haven't really perfected the SC2 map yet. That's one of the reasons I'm interested in SPL. I really want KeSPA to try their hand at the SC2 mapmaking scene.

I'll count the mistakes:
1) he takes his gas to late and tech too late (evo, roch, T2) -> can't adapt enough, earliers timings are made to adapt at everything the protoss can do, not to have the maximum efficiency on the 12 max roech push. He doesn't seem to understand that TT
2) T2 too late -> speed roach too late, he didn't want to push until it finishes -> too late
3) He should have done his Stephano push instead of letting the protoss take b3 and make his deathball, plus he waited too much @ engaging the fight. He fought at like 12.30 or 13 wich is way too late. I don't know what the fuck he was doing waiting for his air tech etc... He just had to push at like 10.30 ~ 11, the roach push at this timing on this map is imba. And it's even stronger when the oponent goes on void ray.
4) He could have won this but made his transition way too late by wanting too finish the game on his too late push.
5) the protoss played passively and allowed him to transition into BL (taking b4 etc...) sadly JD throwed away the game by trading his army for economy werhas he needed it to delay and support broodlords. Plus he trhrow away infestors energy on a useless b4, this is a dumb move. He should instead build a ton of spines.
He had so many ways to win this game but he played bad tactically, i hope in a few months he will be able to understand his mistakes, his macro is so good he can only rape asses if he understands the game.

On to the size discussion yes maps can be bigger but if everything moves 5 times as fast and occupy a larger screen part, even a map with double the size will be smaller.
while zergs 4th was under attack I didnt understand why he didnt wait till he had more stuff. he always ran in with like 10 banes just to get killed without exploding up on any marines. didnt understand that!
Well this is game . Baby with his clocked bashees and drops fucked him up . Effort should have tried harder to secure that fifth base and not waste those ultralisks .
Effort's choice not to spread creep this game was really weird . If he had the creep spread he would have been in a good position in the lategame . I guess he was going for a massive 3 base all - in after that 14 CC opening by Baby .

Man this really is a game of seconds. If Jaedong had made perhaps five more spine crawlers and put them down a tad earlier, then it was pretty much his game. Other little things such as really late drone transfer to fourth (and he should probably have made a fifth earlier) ended up hurting him... Really sad to watch though after that great attack.
Game 1 was kind of agonizing. Tyson has been so bad for team 8 all year, and then he goes and manners these Nexi, and then he loses 3 expansions and doesn't bother scouting Leta's ONLY mining expo until after he loses 3 of his. I feel like Tyson didn't play all that well, not well enough for that level of BM. He was ahead the entire game, but Leta wasn't lost by any means. It wasn't fantasy gg timing. Please BM when the game is actually out of hand, not when your only talent is making lots of units and suiciding them for 30 minutes
