I will need help with:
Polls Player Names/Lineup English Restream info
Any help would be MASSIVELY appreciated.
lols. you add polls by clicking the Add Poll option on the top right side along the same row as the other options. You TLPD-ize by putting in a name, then selecting it and clicking the icon that's a red hydralisk. The line-up and names as well as getting the correct TLPD you can do by adjusting the name to match the ones in the TL TLPD data base, or just looking at past LR threads (quote it or reply to see source code). English restream infos you can fill out when the streams come online, usually there isn't a live restream with english commentary, sayle does one after the games end off Vods.
people used to put in predictions for what match-ups and line-ups they thought would occur before the match, it was much "easier" to do in the old format when players had a discernable pattern to when they would get sent out and statistics would get compared along with current trends and recent games. Don't worry about it if you can't find a discerneable pattern because I doubt most people can at this point seeing how volatile the league is.
The thread is fine, just update it as the games go, thanks for your efforts.
On June 26 2012 11:49 sc2superfan101 wrote: thank you so much.
how can i tell what the lineup is gonna be? do they anounce it on the stream or something?
the line-up from the teams is determined by the coaches ahead of time and submitted, and they are revealed game by game at the moment the camera pans to the players (or you can get it a few minutes earlier during commercials from korean sites), so you have to update it as the games go. They used to do revealed line-ups back in the before 2009 days, this format makes it alot more difficult to prepare and puts alot more pressure on the players to anticipate and the coaches to plan.
I'm gonna go ahead and say that Flash won't be played vs ACE since he has an OSL match just a few hours later today. Edit : lol nvm, shows how much i know...
there were more invincible clouds of 2 lurkers/lings holding back entire terran army but flash decided to get like 3 dropships (had one floating at third, 2 went and dropped) then owned the 3rd/4rth of great.
On June 26 2012 15:27 Caihead wrote: soooo how was flash's form, was he 3-0 hydra flash or 3-0 zero flash or 3-0 jaedong flash?
not that im the best judge but i'm gonna say he just owned really hard. at no point was he in any danger or anything. completely controlled both his opponents economy and the game.
On June 26 2012 15:27 Caihead wrote: soooo how was flash's form, was he 3-0 hydra flash or 3-0 zero flash or 3-0 jaedong flash?
was mediocre play once things got going, but good defense from the maybe 12-16 lings wanting to run into his base (double firebats on ramp after moving out) and an scv catching lurker eggs while scouting around (prompty stimmed army to run there and kill those lurkers).
great was screwed after that, never being able to take a third (was going to use those 2 lurkers near bottom right to take that base; had a drone there). Weakly tried to take upper left that had gotten dropped, etc.
so good decision making by flash/timings on what mattered--ling defense, lurker snipes, and dropship timing-- but army control was semi lackluster. Not bad but not "flash" army control, just generic terran.

I just hope that it's enough to beat Shine so we can get a FvF semis
Tried to write tl.net on my sign not sure if it was big enough to see on cam Ace 파이팅! (also anyone know what the korean dude besides me did because I have no clue lol)

pretty bad. both games the ace player wanted to do early damage but got completely defended (like 12-16 lings in great vs flash getting shut down, and kal went straight for dt against action and got shut down by spore colony).
not game ending stuff, but set them behind and they generally had nothing after that. kal never even got zealot speed.

over too fast. phoenix vs phoenix and stats had a better build for it as well as better execution/micro. guemchi just threw away his first phoenix while he was already later with his tech and then a zealot as well. from there a simple advantage turned into GG because of warp gate.
FBH blinks forward and kills all the broods and infestors! storms the lings and wipes hoejja's army off the map, counters with a 4 zlot warp in but it's stopped by lings.
FBH destroys hoejja's fifth
they reengage in the center!!
... equal trade but a FBH warp in kills hoejja's fourth!!
Hoejja should have made a ton more Broodlords against FBH's army . HT ripped lings and infestors apart and he only had like 8 broods max the whole game .
really good play by FBH, all things considered, he showed good patience and struck when the iron was hot. i was very impressed right there. dude just saved his team.
ACE looks sharp, not necessarily in their play, but their uniforms and haircuts and discipline, pretty much everything. i LIKE this team.

He kept having to cancel them. He was too attached to his 4th, and made BLs in bad positions.
He should study Stephano. When you have 6 bases, losing one is fine, as long as the drones survive to transfer somewhere else. This is especially true when Toss only has 4

especially because he had that mining base down in the right corner. another thing was he sacrificed too many lings in some points and then was too hesitant with them at other points.
i'll stock hoejja's play up to being inexperienced at the game.

Thats , because for some reason SC2 pros that are not in Kespa prefer making collosus instead of HT in PvZ , and don't use them as much as they should be used .

Hoejja obviously has no clue how to abuse broodlords. He played that late game as bad as one can do. FBH should've been dead the moment his first push got deflected.
Ach. Chavi builds and then cancels a gateway because he's not sure if his cannon will finish on time. Not a huge mistake, but it's weird to see a progamer not have his timings down. Yes yes, new game, but...it's weird. I'm used to cannons finishing at the last possible second
oh man, Chavi read that like a book, has no problem defending with a good split. loses a few probes at his main and third but CH messes up the drop and loses a lot of roaches.
CH needs more spines, he has the money. Right now, if he loses a battle hard, he's dead. Spines would buy him time to rebuild if Chavi gets a good archon toilet off
So stupid, the protoss didn't target the BL's, he lost significantly more than he should have. He blinked under the BL, then attacked a single BL, then didn't target fire any other BL's and attacked only broodlings! He should be winning.
On June 26 2012 17:13 GTR wrote: and why the fuck are you morphing brood lords on top of the protoss army
you don't morph guardians on top of a archon ball, why would you do the same in sc2?
Small difference in that there are broodlings from the highground BLs, if they don't attack the broodlings and attack the morphing BLs, they would take a lot of damage. Still strange though.

well all things considered it might just be that he's not good vs zerg? light gets to play bw and he's loltastic against protoss. it's too early in the format for coaches to figure out what players get sent out where
On June 26 2012 18:51 Garmer wrote: protoss should just do mass templar, they are the key against BL/infestor
not rly. with proper control, the high templar will never come in range to throw storms. you can try to feedback, but you run the risk of losing a lot more templar then the zerg loses infestors if both control properly.
what protoss is supposed to do vs broodlord infestor is to abuse its immobilty by having warpprisms everywhere, warping in zealots and DTs while building up mothership / archon / colossus army with some templars to eventually catch the zerg offguard or just trade a lot more effeciently and dry him out. Therefore, youll see Zergs literally cover everything with spore and spine crawlers to make up for the slow moving army and to make it impossible even with the perfect P combo to ever attack him. Sadly, that makes PvZ lategame kinda boring to watch often times :/ TvZ is considered the best matchup to watch cause there is stuff happening everywhere on high level - sadly, we dont see much of this matchup in SPL.
i very much liked the PvZ games in this match though, pretty impessive stuff already! they learn fast :D
