Lol.. a lot of you said that this level and style of play is like 2011 SC2.. well, I stoped seeing GSL around may 2011 . So, this is good for me, it keeps around what I understand.

I'll try to see the last GSL final tomorrow to update me a little..

Well, Lizzy played decently, had a few nice moments shutting down the drops. Not bad for an SC2 noob.

i need some clarification on how charge works

as soon as charge activates, does the lot automatically register damage when it reaches a certain distance to the unit or is there blockage or potential for no damage for the chased unit if its fast enough?

and what was the cooldown?

BByong was totally outclassed that game. Drops didn't do a thing, never split his bio ball, failed to EMP the templars. Lizzy had some great minimap awareness that game, and nailed his spellcaster micro

That's my honest impression of the game, i heard 3 snipes but no EMPs.

To me it's no different than when you loose 12 tanks to 3 stasises

Charge was patched awhile ago to guarantee the zealot at least one swing when he charges an enemy unit. The cooldown is around 10-15 seconds.

It will always do damage- will keep charging until it hits. This is because before T could stim and stutterstep and zealots would be absolutely useless (especially with concussive shells), and P was at a serious disadvantage cause zealots would be useless.

He killed 4 full dropships almost for free, when he was being dropped in two places at once (something lots of protoss have problems with). That's 32 bio units, and the 4 100/100 medivacs, for maybe a zealot. That's the most cost-efficient trade I've ever seen, and BBYong didn't even fuck it up in any obvious way.

10 sec cooldown. The zealot will charge for 3.5 secs, and if it catches the unit, it will guarantee hit at least once. If it doesn't catch the unit for whatever reason, there's no damage done.
