Fucking shit, I am so sad. Poor Jaedong. I see now, the problem for him and 8th players is Coach Joo, he is so stupid. None of his players has passed ODT, Sea tomorrow will fail as usually. He made them train sc2 only, then made them practice with SKTT1 to help them win the finals, then obviously they played again sc2 only, cause why Baby wouls make some stupid vulture drop in his first game, why Killer would go for 3 hatch without pool, why jaedong didn't finish Rush with his mutaling attack? They did not prepare for ODT.
Shame Jaedong lost. He looked like he was in a great position against rush, but then that mech switch and that damn map. BUt rushed played well, excited to see how far he goes. As for Hyvaa...build order win in both zvzs

It's not because of the mech switch, some of it is because of the map, but most of it is because of THAT mech push by Rush in JD's nat which, for some reason, doesn't have any defilers around and Rush was able to to a lot of damage. That's when JD's disadvantage starts snowballing hard that even his awesome offense and defense can't do anything against the terran mech deathball. I hope the reason why he forgot to have a defiler in his nat isn't because he was FOCUSING on other things other than the OSL.
EDIT: During the loser's game, Hyvaa's spire finished when JD was able to kill his nat, so JD never had any larva disadvantage, not even one, when Hyvaa was trying to catch up in the muta count. The only advantages Hyvaa had was spores and drones(which didn't really pay off without the 2nd hatch). JD could've droned and expand during that period since he's able to deny hyvaa's expansions without losing a single mutalisk(which means hyvaa won't ever catch up in the muta count without some larva advantage or JD suiciding his mutas to the spores). He could even just win without an expo before the big engagement by making a drone or two and upgradng carapace.
i didn't watch the games last night and i just checked the results in the OP of this LR... i can't help but react: WHAT?!? wth happened? are the results real???
so much for hoping a leesang rok epic finals on this "looks-like" the last BW osl...
So sad Jaedong lost... his game against Rush was very agressive and he lost too many mutas wihout a huge economy to fall back to... after that Rush hat a supply advantage (~100 at some points) and just strangled JD. When suddenly JD was harassing everywhere i thought *OK now his superior late game management kicks in*, he sniped a lot of tanks one time but he was behind on bases and it all didn't matter after all, gg really a rollercoaster of emotions here.
Against hyvaa? meh, I hate ZvZ and this one was really frustrating to watch
After all, Proleague Finals showed us how awesome BW can be when players prepare like madmen for it; Jaedong and Bisu showed us how frustrating it is to watch when you don't. I'm cheering for Fantasy now.
I didn't have time to follow OSL matches, now following makes almost no sense Last games of BW without JD will give me lots of pain, but somehow I felt such an outcome could happen.
My confidence in JD was lost long ago, because I could not see it in him anymore. Still he was and is one of the greatest players to be remembered. On the positive side, maybe we'll see him in SC2. I wish to, even though I don't follow SC2, I just want to see him playing.
And what about this OSL? We still have Stork, Flash, some interesting rookies and Hyvaa Well maybe we shall see some rookie vs Flash finals even.
So cheer up guys, all good things have an end, sometimes it is not what we would like it to be, but there are much more good memories already. And you know what, I smile, when I remember all those finals and SPL matches with JD and others, when I was sitting with fingers crossed for the players, when the heart was bumping so hard I could not sit in the chair, lol. This final will never overshadow them.
Events are primarily remembered by how they were at the end and how they were at their peak. The last days of BW may be bleak, but the peaks will not be forgotten.
