There's no easy way. Usually you can tell from studying the map features. E.g. choke, highground, accessibility of third, min onlys etc and playing games on it. Alternatively you can check the map stats on TLPD, but they're sometimes inaccurate especially if 1 player skews it.

Unfortunately I'm not knowledgeable enough about the game to be confident answering the question, and I don't want to mislead you. You can check liquepedia though, I'm pretty sure some of the map pages offer some (albeit limited) analysis. Alternatively you can search the BW news forum, usually previews are available for new maps and they discuss race balance in depth. I recommend the latter.

Zerg likes open areas and lots of gas, so open 3-4 player maps are usually good for Zerg. T likes a third easily defendable gas and lots of cliffs/ridges/high terrain. No clue for P though. But yeah, pros sort of show us which maps are good in most cases by which races get sent out. That's the only way to know for sure, I think.

There are a lot of factors Just a few random ones: a difficult to hold/get 3rd base usually favours Z over P, since Z usually takes another nat as their third on maps with no 'natural' 3rd. A wide open centre generally would be Z>P, whereas more narrow push paths are usually more P>Z. Cliffs can favour carrier play vs T. Multiple push paths that allow flanking can favour P over T.
