The Small VOD Thread in the BW General forum has all vods, check the last few pages. They are entirely free

Why everyone keeps saying about that floating CC in set 4 explain to me somebody pls? If he went for CC, he would likely lose all his pylons and be eliminated. Wouldn't he? O_o

He only needed 1-2 goons to shoot at the CC to kill it. Shuttle + reaver micro would have made it impossible for fantasy to push on the proxied pylons.

In game 2, though, those recalls were suicide recalls, but Jangbi didn't really have any other choice. He had to make something happen and fast, so he just decided to throw a hail mary. It expectedly failed to pan out.

yeah, not only that when his base was being pushed in set 4 if he had transferred a few probes out of his base with 1 of the 2 shuttles he could have used them to shuttle drop with reaver and probably take out all of fantasys tanks. instead jangbi let all of them continue mining and they died pointlessly. or he could have built a new nexus with the ~480minerals he had if he had elevatored a single probe out into another corner of the map, and use his whole army to kill the cc - that almost certainly would have won him the game.

set 2 i feel jangbi went for the risk in dt rushing because he saw that he let fantasy get away with 14cc already (he scouted fanta's position last) so he would be playing from behind if he decided to compete in econ. instead he tries to play a risk at that point in order to have a chance to get ahead and it fails. after the dt rush failed he was behind even more so he tried another last ditch risk - recalls, and that failed too so that was over. basically he only played cheesy/risky because he was already had a disadvantageous position due to the opening build orders.

and actually rushing for recall is a valid strat that has worked for him before recently (2 months ago). he went for 2 base arb recall rush and it worked perfectly against light who was ahead economically

This makes some sense.

However after someone pointed out how Fantasy's macro was nonexistent made me less happier about the Game 5 win... It was just a stupid choke by Fantasy not a ''real'' come back.

This coming from someone sick of watching T win again and again.

Fantasy has been in 4 OSL finals. All 3 he lost had a 2-3 score. If Fantasy was more clutch in game 5's he'd have 4 OSL wins, which would be the most ever.

If Jangbi hadn't done ridiculously stupid mistakes and hadn't been very unlucky in game 4, this final would have been in four sets.

Seriously, this final was close, but in a way, Jangbi really outplayed and dominated Fantasy. And I don't say that because I am a Jangbi fanboy and a Fantasy hater.

True but false. Fantasy fucked him self with his terrible anti interceptor micro. It was like watching an amateur right clicking a carrier. Also, containing BEHIND the base mean that ground has free path to the his main. No tank line at his nat/main.

The contain behind the base was the reason why Jangbi almost lost. The backline tank lines are why the map was considered to be T>P. For god's sake, Fantasy completely shut down Jangbi's nat and halted carrier production for years. Fantasy lost because he made a lot of mistakes and Jangbi played like a god, but you're saying that Fantasy lost because of the MAIN reason the game was so much in favor for him, which is just complete nonsense.

Which is a micro problem how?
Fantasy floated 1500/1500 at some point, more of a macro problem.
Its a good thing Oov is off to the militairy.

If not Fantasy would get mercilessly spanked by him for screwing up macro.

Guys come on let it go , a lost is a lost jangbi was the player at the end of the game that's all .Just look at game 5 if the corsairs wasn't made the wraith would have snipe the carrier and the tank line that he made behind the mineral was effective however like many here I am surprised he was floating minerals 1500/1500 but it could be something we else don't know about . Probably he was confident with his contain and decide to expand to his third and not make it an all in . He was going for a contain and yet being economy agressively .

I think that Fantasy's thought was something like "Okay, his Nat is basically screwed because of my tanks that killed about 20 or so Probes and his Carriers are delayed by couple of seconds. I win! :D thank you ladies and gentlemen!"
Then in JangBi's mind, it goes something like this "Fuck, oh man. Fine I'll just collect carriers and hope for the best"
Then Fantasy was like daydreaming about what would happen after his second back to back OSL trophy sitting on his hands, reality snaps back to him and was like "HOLY SHIT HE CAME KNOCKING STRAIGHT @ MY DOORS WITH HANDFUL OF GOONS!"
JangBi: "I might actually win this!"
Fantasy goes "FUUUUUUUU"
Then after the game @ interview "I guess making carriers REALLY is a good talent toi have! *herp derp"

Spamming turrets require huge amount of APM .. Fanta was more focused on maintaining the contain than actually ending the game with tanks. The moment carreirs were in a critical number, he just could make more turrets while macroing for tanks, now add that to the blown factory and a 2 expos from fanta vs 1 expo from jangbi.

Jangbi just had a solid gameplan for the map. Two base carriers along with a ground army really threw fanta. Not to mention Jangbi going 14nex in set5 while Fanta took forever to take his natural. The game vs. Flash showed Jangbi utilizing macro to ridiculous extents. Seven bases - storm flash back to his bases and run him over ez-mode. Props to the Samsung team for training so hard and getting another gold. Well deserved.

For me,it`s very strange how no one has even mentioned the stupidest thing Fantasy did in that 5th game: Wraiths. I mean come on,seriously? What is this, game 5 of the most prestigious E-sports tournament in the world,or some random ICCup game?

Another epic game for those who were asking for
Somewhat related to the topic of the finals
You'll see why if you watch the game (better 2 watch @ youtube 'cause you later need to open the next parts in the "similar videos" column):

- or just read this spoiler:
+ Show Spoiler +
because this is what I think Fanta ought to do if he had better macro and didn't accumulate 1500/1500. 4 rax + academy + two marines' upgrades = 1000/250. Problem carriers? [image loading]

We've seen progamers doing this before.
Surprising your opponent with cloacked wraiths is kind of a gamble - thats true. And it didn't pay of for fantasy.

Yes we`ve seen it work when terran has 5 mining bases and protoss can`t really know that T is going for wraiths. Also it`s very stupid to do it on pathfinder since it is a small map so even if carriers are caught without observers they can retreat to cannons in 10-15 seconds at most. For that money he could have easily added 2 factories and pump goliaths from them.

You watched two games of Carrier vs Goliath and you can't see why someone would switch to wraiths? Using Goliaths on Pathfinder against Carriers is like using mutas against corsairs or hydras against seige tanks.

I remember watching flash against 2 base carriers on pathfinder,I think it`s against Kal. He owned him. Completely. You can`t tell me that wraiths are better choice then goliaths on Pathfinder? If it was so that would have been the most imbalanced map in history of bw... P.S. Hydras are not that bad against tanks :D

Excuse my theorycrafting but wouldn't valks be good too? Besides the mobility problem.

Edit : I guess the mobility would be a huge problem vs goons so forget it >_>

You know, using Flash as an arguement isn't really .. that concrete of a point. He could use anything :D
