imagine it is 08 again and stork has just won his gold against fantasy while bisu won against jangbi after an all protoss semifinals. then, bisu defeats jangbi in the gsl season 2 and jangbi loses to luxury in yet another finals. we look back at by far the most dominant half of a year the protoss race has ever seen in history, and jangbi was one of the best dragons and in 3 starleague finals. now, imagine that at this point in time a man from the future teleports in and tells you "the next protoss starleague winner is going to be jangbi". everyone would have nodded willingly. and now imagine the jaws dropping to the ground when the future man tells you that this will not happen until 3 years in the future. minds would have been blown at that time. btw did anyone else think that fanta was looking like a bum during this final? his hair was seriously messed up. ^^ On September 20 2011 20:43 _Quasar_ wrote: not quite. Damn that JD v Flash game @ WCG was sexy as. Thought Flash had it pretty much all over JD but clutch defiler play saved the day. *hunts for more epic games to tide me over* | ||

A 2fact variant on pathfinder with has a highground main would not have worked at all especially vs 12 nex. | ||

 I think an OSL won by BBS is nothing worse than an OSL won by "useful talent toi have", after all xD BTW, Pro7ect said that on Pathfinder there is no normal location for a proxy. But I guess on such a map you can just BBS at your natural. It's not that big. | ||

Edit: there was that one game i think on Benzene? Stork vs Flash dunno if its that relevant since i can't remember if it was 12 nex or not but Stork lost his nat like 2 times? and still put on an awesome show =]. Also did Jangbi go regular 12 nex those games? As opposed to the 11nex 11gate he did vs flash which theoretically makes it much easier to defend a possible bunker rush due to early zealot. | ||

12 Nex is playable against all builds except BBS. Even vs forward rax it's playable depending on micro. It beats rax expand and factory expand straight up. And on normal maps any starport build vs 12 Nex is generally favorable for the latter. BBS, on the other hand, is near death against all builds not 12 Nex. Especially against someone with Jangbi's control. I'm curious what Jangbi's exact BO is in game 5, as against Flash he actually did an 11 Nex, which sacrifice economy for a faster gateway. Jangbi did go 2-gate right after nexus. He also scouted the map middle and would've seen any barracks there. Not sure BBS would've definitely won. But then again, I haven't seen a progamer BBS in TvP for so long I honestly have no clue in general. Regardless, Fantasy went the right build IMO on the map. | ||

Boxer vs Anytime was meh, you just know Anytime will win easy after 5 minutes pass with no shenanigans from Boxer. Reach vs CHojja - that was game 4. Game 5 was just Reach winning with 2 gate zealots. And it wasn't a final for sure, either a semi or 3rd place. | ||
