second place.
Nevertheless. And JangBi gets 40 million won? 10 million Chinese people watched the stream...I mean, I guess BW money is more for salaries than big prizes, but it's still baffling to me that winning an OSL gets you less money than winning a GSL (which is 50 million won).
But I guess Jangbi can look forward to a six-figure salary, so it all kind of works out, I guess.
10 million? no way..
According to Reddit.
Jesus fucking christ
[edit] I refused to believe the screenshot. Since I can read Chinese, I went ahead and downloaded the streaming program http://www.pptv.com/ and checked myself. Yep, 3.35 million concurrents.
The crazy thing? This is not the only restream of OSL! Another channel, call SiTV遊戲風雲頻道, has an additional 6.72 million views.
o.o ten million Chinese StarCraft fans watching the OSL finals!
Whenever anyone says BW is dying, I'm going to point out that the OSL finals got 10 million views whereas NASL got 80k and MLG got ~100k. BW is ten times bigger than SC2 even if you don't count Korea.
I guess having the Proleague Finals in China was a smart move, even if it didn't end up panning out O_O

Is there really that long of a break? I've been too busy with work to follow all the latest news, but they have to start the MSL pretty soon if they plan on doing it at all or they won't finish by January.
Wow. That was so splendiferous. As I was watching game 5, when Fanta was taking down Jangbi's Stargates and stuff, I was writing this:
Damnit all to hell. This was set up to be one of the greatest storylines in BW history: Jangbang comes back from huge and derpessing slump, goes through tie-breakers, has to go up against the greatest player of all time and ape-smashes him, reaches a final for the first time in years, legend of the fall and all that, and then... loses like this and gets another silver. I'm so sad.
I must say though, that this was a great final. Brilliant. Grats to you Fanta!
Sad we didn't see a single storm though.
Which made the victory that much sweeter. :D I had lost hope. Given up. And then... JANGBANG! Looking back I must say this was the absolutely best outcome (super tight 3-2). Much more satisfying than a crushing 3-0 would've been. What a great moment this is, and fantastic for the BW scene. I have a tear of happiness in my eye as I write this, mang. I haven't been this excited about a SC game since Flash beat Movie in the OSL final, when he was finally back at the top. This is kinda the same feeling as I had back then. Epic.

gotta love her not just because she's really pretty, but because she really loves esports. she cried in an interview when she started saying how she initially was just another sponsor, but eventually fell in love with esports and the fans
esports needs more people like her!
What. Where can I see this? I WANT TO EMBRACE NEW SPONSORS!!!

Much love my man. Always love you on TL. Don't ever go away.

because gsl has zero history or storyline to it
so true. it does not belong in the thread but one problem the gsl has is that it has many games and nearly no storylines... thats why osl,msl and pl will always be the best
BW is not about money, its about prestige, eternal glory, forever remembered in E-sport history, to be known as the first Protoss Starleague winner since Stork.

Almost suffered a heart attack during that comeback, had to pause the stream to not watch for some time cause i was shaking but it was worth it.I cannot express in words how much this means to me and i think all BW fans.
