Sea/Light vs Great Flash and Zero should work together to make this as Hydra's group for next MSL, ensuring Bisu advancing to the next round and pretty much eliminating the zergs in this group.

But either way, he had really poor muta control in both set 1 & 2, which warrants to me that Flash was simply the better player.

Hoping Zero makes for some better games and pushes Flash a little. ![]()

The good thing is he has Light as a practice partner now + I guess he has these semi-final games to analyse. Although these days Flash changes his play around a lot in TvZ so I'm not sure how much use it will be. Hydra practiced with Light too. Just sayin.

This is very wrong, Hydra had the much greater economy for almost the entire game until Flash's mass eraser effectively shut down 2 running bases.

That said, I wont mind if Zero wins. He seems like a very nice guy.

In game 2 I was sure that Hydra will win. But he lost mainly due to (relatively) weak defiler play and poor multitasking. Flash was in loads of troubles in the mid game. When Hydra got 4 bases and after the dropships failed miserably I was sure that Flash will lose. But he managed to pull it out due to the factors mentioned above. In game 3 I thought it was even till Hydra lost 5 lurkers for just a couple marines. And then extra 2 lurkers for nothing. After that he just didn't have enough army to stop Flash who could split his army to stop the 4th and launch the attack for the nat..

JD vs. Sea, JD vs. Flash were the games where terrans lost their first small group of mm, that was small due to early tech (ebay in that case). Zerg just walked to them with muta+ling and demolished them. Why hydra couldn't do the same?.. On June 04 2011 08:17 champignones wrote: starcraft is a game that changes a lot, flash mission in game 2 was to shut down expansion and, hydra at some point had the advantage, but flash did the eraser trick and hydra didnt have enough scourge to bring them down, imo hydra is a very good zerg but he misses little things, that make a zerg like jaedong great. imo what killed Hydra particularly is that he didn't realise the difference between flash and mind, lol Flash is quite a particular player. You need special tactics vs. him, and probably all vs.Terran tactics needs to be somewhat reviewed, mostly in theoretical sense yes (because, what practice there could be, if there is actually only one flash, lol, all zerg can't practice with him :DDDD ). Maybe you always need to count on the maximum possible terran micro and best decisions and rely on luck less. For example you shouldn't fly above +1 range marines with your mutas on open place and hope to pick them off. It's suicide - marine has 5 range, muta 3. With close-to-ideal micro they will just kill your mutas with almost no loss. Flash's micro was good - so he lost almost no marine and hydra lost many muta. -__-
