Cuteangel + someone else wins..then Cuteangel in the ace match
ZerO dispatches two drones across the map to mine out the minerals on the side of Kal's wall! Kal builds a panic-pylon to try to keep the wall intact! It fails! The cannons don't reach! Zerglings coming in!
Kal saves the starport, and cleans his base of most lings, after some trouble. He has two corsairs marauding about and taking advantage of ZerO's late spire. Looks like ZerO droned a little harder in the expectation that he could kill the starport.
Kal puts zealot pressure on ZerO's third at the bottom right. ZerO runs his drones around and loses two, but the four zealots eventually die to lings and a sunken.
Kal now moving about with a large mass of corsairs. He's leaving them sitting over hydras in order to kill overlords, reminiscent of his last game on Match Point against the alien. ZerO sending out scouting lings, seems to be on the back foot somewhat, but still with his economy in-tact.
Third going up at the mineral only for Kal.
Some great moves from both players that haven't panned out.
ZerO is slow to micro his hydras at the base, but his reinforcements are enough to push Kal back and save the base (and it's three hatcheries). Dangerous moment there for ZerO, Kal almost caught him napping.
ZerO establishes a lurker/hydra/ling position on his high ground outside the natural. Kal fakes an expansion at the top left, but while his pylon goes down there, he moves his army south and covers an expansion at 6.
Kal's army is looking thinner than ZerO's. ZerO agrees and mores down to provoke a fight. Kal with some excellent storms takes the initiative and attacks first. He takes the battle easily.
Huge strike by ZerO at Kal's mineral only is repelled with Kal suffering some huge zealot losses, but little else.
Kal on the initiative, while ZerO is in full crackling macro mode now. ZerO tries to take 12, but is denied by a zealot. ZerO next wastes an army against the ludicrously well defended 6. Dies.
cant believe kal is coming back from that retardedly bad start and LOL zero tries to drop a base with cannon/reaver defense and has no defilers with the drop

kal didn't lose anything though..zero came out at a disadvantage..
Kal's counter fails terribly, but ZerO can only kill his main and natural. Kal still has 6 and his mineral only. His base at the top left is going up with reaver help. Probe transfer is wrecked however. ZerO preparing to drop the top left.
Every time Kal plays PvZ on Match Point, he loses to a crackling doom drop, or some combination of either elements. Each time his army is way out of positioning. Each time he can't do anything about it, except spam cannons and die later.
I mean, it was a fun game and Kal played pretty well to get the army advantage midgame. But then he couldn't kill the last lurker, and let ZerO push him back. It's one and done in a PvZ like that.

Turning point was Kal being unable to completely kill off ZerO's army on the hill.
Zero cleverly gets a dozen lings in, but accomplishes practically nothing with them. Meanwhile Kal has his stargate DONE before Zero's spire STARTS. Psi Storms raping lurkers nonstop, and yet Zero has enough to drop Kal's main AND hold off the counter? WTF? I just don't understand. Maybe that's why I suck at ZvP.
edit: also to say, I like the vote system for recommended games.

I agree that Kal would have been in much better position, had he done nothing with his army at that point.
there was a point where kal took control of zero's high ground and had a somewhat big army leftover after a huge battle that killed zero's main army. they were at even bases. if only instead of pushing forward more he sat back and took 11 (and denied 12 to zero) he would of won that game soooo easily. instead he loses most of his advantage by throwing that army away and then counters when he could of just defended the doom drop with minimal loses and still of been ahead.
kal I know you like to play your games with crazy tactics but CMON WE NEED YOU TO WIN ONCE IN A WHILE TOO

Omg the song playing on this commercial with Leta is like.........Sum41? At first I thought it was Bana - Shell from Witch Hunter Robin. Man I love that song.
Now I'm not sure if it's Sum41........sounds like The Offspring. Anyone want to confirm? =o

It's because ZvP imba \o/
I think its cause Kal made about dozen reavers that did nothing
I'm so immature............the minimap sort of looks like a penis =/ Sorry about that guys haha. Damn Kwanro going to Kwanroll this guy. The fight for 5/6 is still intense.

Looks like the head of a bull at the top. Horns and such.
Kwanro three-hatching while Notice appears to have gotten a pretty quick expansion. Notice's pressure is deemed worthy of two sunken colonies, and one creep colony at Kwanro's nat. It get's morphed after Notice foils zerglings waiting to runby. One firebat goes scouting for an expansion ahead of time at the top left. It kills the drone.
Kwanro sends reinforcementlings to the top left and takes that expansion. Mutalisks come across a couple turrets in-progress, and cause mild amounts of havok, but Notice deflects the pressure decently.
Notice moving down to cut off the mutalisks in their bid for freedom. Kwanro just goes back to killing scvs. Notice's patience is finally rewarded when Kwanro just dumps his mutalisks in range of the marines, and leaves them there, presumably to find themselves.
Notice moves out with decent force and two tanks in the supply train. Kwanro is adding two more sunkens to the six that he currently has. Looks like panic, smells like panic, must be teen spirit.
Kwanro fends the attack off for the moment with lurkers. Notice pushes back, except harder, and lays siege to Kwanro's nat, but not before getting a full dropship killed by two very obvious scourge. Kwanro cutting off reinforcements, while Notice lays siege to his natural.
Notice backs off of his attack for no real reason, and promptly gets his army terribly out of position. Nearly everything gets killed by zerglings, which may have happened anyway, but certainly wouldn't have been as bad had Notice just held his ground.
Now Kwanro putting pressure on Notice's natural. He's got el swarm though. Expect success.
Notice looks really short in his chair, for some reason.
STX, I'm very disappointed, They will probably be eliminated in playoffs very easily, they all have been playing very poorly for this entire round, it's really getting depressing. I'm considering changing my fan status to my #2nd favorite SKT.
gg and the streak continues.. easily. Sorry STX. Edit: That was the quietest gg ever. I feel sorry for them, cause the stress and lack of morale must be terrible.
Notice gets his natural overrun predictably, and gets a small mnm hit squad devastated by lurkers. He's got mines, which I'm sure has Kwanro incredibly scared, considering how much of a resemblance Notice shares with Flash*.
But it's not to be. GG from the terran. (What was his name?)
STX sure has fallen fast. One round they are shredding everyone with Calm/Kal, and the next Kal/Calm can barely win and even Airforce ACE (a stronger looking ACE, albeit) can roll them.

the only explanation i can come up with is that the team is purposefully doing awful so that everyone will underestimate them in the playoffs and then they will kick ass.
seriously i cant otherwise comprehend why they are all en masse making such dumb mistakes -_-

I was thinking the same. Recently the top teams lose miserably to those from the bottom of the rank-list. It's become a game in which the weak teams prepare and fight furiously to get to a decent place, while the top teams play (perhaps deliberately) a bit shaky - because they almost don't care, and maybe because it lets their bracket opponents underestimate them. Dunno. Looks odd though.
Honestly if the betting scandal wasn't resolved, I'd think Calm was in it. This guy's record has been TERRIBLE since losing to Jaedong. 11 losses and 1 win since then.
Man did Jaedong really destroy Calm's psyche that badly? And I don't even know what to think of Kal. He's like the most inconsistent Protoss ever.

kal losing to zero (a top ZvPer) again sounds pretty consistent lol

It was probably more of a commotion in the team itself. Remember that Hwasin was the second biggest name next to Savior involved the betting scandal. Hite is even worse off than STX right now and like half of their A-team was involved in the scandal. The scandal's probably affecting teams' psychologies in some way.

Anyway, I enjoy when the underdogs win, gg! (:
Honestly, I could accept that KT had some bad weeks, that seems possible(maybe Flash semi-slump). But STX really dropped the ball completely. Probably because Hwasin was banned, Kal got 3-0d by effort, and Calm got raped by JD in the MSL. Frozen is the only one capable of winning nowadays.

Well it doesn't matter now, but it mattered back before FOX beat ACE, which happened at the same time as this game. Stars would have overtaken FOX if FOX lost both of their last two games and Stars won both of theirs.

Sigh. I think Stars are definitely one of the top 6 teams in the league, but what can you do.
i don't know if that's really luck. not looked up the stats, but that sort of game differential but being even in matches indicates that stars are winning a lot of matches 3-0 and 3-1, but losing a lot 2-3, which would make sense as stars have plenty of players that are capable of taking games off more or less anyone on other people's rosters, but suck in an ace environment.
i.e. i'd back zero/free/kwanro to beat most randoms, but not flash, JD, effort, fantasy, and games with, say, kal/stork/leta/random mbc terran should be fairly even.
A shame stars fails to make it again, they have one of the best lineups in the league...honestly they have the best.
Free, Zero, Kwanro, Soulkey, MVP, Guemchi, my god thats 6 solid-great players.
Id pick Free over effort, fantasy, jaedong and fantasy, and zero id pick over fantasy, and zero gives flash a run for his money. And Free finally beat Flash, though they usually have close games either way if you ignore that terrible rape in the SL set they played recently.

I agree, if Stars had a consistently good ace player they'd be in the playoffs.
