The guardians definitely didn't do their job, a few scourges in the mix and he would've raped that natural.

I really feel that Flash gave away game one and Jaedong gave away game two. It's like when me and my noob friends play Go or chess - the one who fucks up the least wins.
This is often the case with the s-class group. First mistake loses.
I'm one of the most rabid Jaedong fanboys but seriously, WTF WAS HE THINKING GOING OFFENSIVE GUARDIANS?! That was pretty much the only way he could throw the game away. I feel sick.

Jaedong had the economy advantage in game 2 and decided to throw it away by wasting all his guardians when he could have used them to defend his 4 gas economy right before his tech switch to ultralisks/crackling/defiler.
Poor games so far truth be told.
when you put aside all the fanboyism about who 'raped' who this is actually a good summary. Both games were effectively the loser blowing it rather than the winner earning it, no matter how much you adore the winner and think 'he's so epic 1337 pure awesomeness ftw!!!'

Well that's how a starcraft game looks like. You can't expect to win if you fuck up to much

Guardians as a surprise are fairly cheap if you already have mutas alive from your muta harass, you don't have to devote your game to doing them after that one surprise.

I mean in the sense that it pulled flash's entier army back, and killed a lot of rines. But yeah... That scourge micro was terrible... The turrets killed it, not even the wraiths.....

I'm with this, the whole point of the build order was to tech right? why didn't he just turtle in? All he did with guards was kill some turrets and ~8 marines.
At this level of play, they have to ride as close to the edge as possible to grind out advantages. This often makes their play seem fragile and weak when they stray too far across the edge.
