And if that happens should i send out another group to try to take down his hatch again, or just wait to do the vessel 3 tank push? Imho its about 9 but all depends on how many mutas he lost in that attack and how many rax you have and ofc if your macro god like Flash then its no big deal. All depends when you lost that group of rines and how much damage they did to the zerg.

The first time you move out to force him into making sunkens, he will not even have mutas. Your units will be about 2 medics and 12 marines or 10marines 1 bat 3medics or 10 marines 2bats 2medics depending on if he made zerglings with speed wich you will find out with scouting scv or with his zerglings dancing outside your base. If you already know his third is up, you can use this army to take his hatch down and his mutas will be used to stab you just like flash vs jaedong on fightingspirit in OSL. If he hasn't put up the third yet you simply move back and reinforce with more units. Your army will consist of bout 3-4 medics and 20-24 units. The only way for him to defeat this if you have proper marinemicro is by making alot of lings and mutas and delaying lurker or hive or whatever his planis. But to defeat your army totally he must also delay his third. So what the zerg is doing is that hes delaying everything in order to kill your first push. Hatch, tech and drones just to get only zerglings and mutalisks to defeat that ball of units. If you move out now, your units will be destroyed but also kill alot of his units, but he will come on top. However, you use the scan and also take a scouting scv while you move out the first time to find expos and scout for lings etc and your scans will propaply notice lings/mutas and tech. Your optimal move in this case is just to wait for more units. Your army gets stronger exponentially while his gets weaker over time. If you know that he is massing up Your conomy is still getting bigger while his isnt and you might aswell wait for either more units and then move out, lets say about 30ish units and 4-5 medics. Or you just dont push at all and wait for the 3tank vessel timing wich will come at about 10:30 if you powered properly from the 3 barracks. He will then not have enough to defeat that push. If you however move out and gets destroyed because you did not anticipate him massing units you will be behind. How far behind will depend on if he skipped the third to mass units or if he took the third and mass units (no drones). If he didn't take the third its pretty even but if he took its your behind but I'd say not so far behind unless you didn't kill anything. The second time you move out you will have scans again so you will be able not to only scout with scvs but also scan for expansions to find out if he has one. If he has one and mass units wait for just some more units and then move out. If he hasn't then wait as I said. I might have repeated myself here I just woke up but basically this is it. If you want a simple answer: If your first attack towards his expansion dies and he have little losses and hatchery up running, you'll be behind but its not over. scale 7ish. If your units die and he places a hatchery after they die you're even or you're ahead 4-5. In either case, don't move out again to take it unless you are sure you killed enough of his units. The tank/vessel isn't very slow with this build.

Since your marines is in the middle of the map pretty fast, its easy to tell if he wants to attack your units with his mutas since they will be there. But then again, you could just play it safe and make turrets before the factory if you feel uncertain. You don't lose that much on it.

I really like the siege expand over the FD because i think it is safer THIS! I just started playing a bit on ICCup (too much hamachi and garena), and picked the siege expand to protect me from the evil tosses. The liquipedia article is nice and all, but seeing it done at your skill level would help a ton. <3 Also, Dream Theater is awesome.
