Yes, that's the whole point of cloning. What happens after you deselect a unit is that you tell the rest of the group to perform the same task you told the previous group except on a different target, then deselect another unit and have that new group perform the same task on yet another target - rinse and repeat until you have only 1 unit left in the group. The reason why it's called cloning is because you are trying to efficiently separate a group of units into sub-groups doing the same task on different targets. The reason why you deselect by clicking on the wireframe instead of the actual unit is because in most cases, cloning is done while in motion which makes it harder to deselect if you click on the unit.

But the best is cloned plague, imagine that ![]() i think it's cuz you're probably holding down shift the whole time you have to let shift go and repress shift everytime you clone a different uniit or that's how it works for me, maybe somethings wrong w/ my keyboard registry but when i learned how to clone my 4 workers at start, when i held down shift the whole time they would all go to the first one - _-

i was watching FPS nada, and he clone irridiated lurkers not by shift selecting but he would press the hotkeyed group, and choose an individual vessel each time and just irridiate like that a bit slower, but if you're fast enough it would still be effective and you wouldnt have the risk of wasting irridiates

But I hate cloning with the 4 stark Workers.I send them with mouse only to the different minerals for me It is faster then cloning.

Then u mark the 6 scourges and wait for him to attack your overlord for example. When he does you attack all 6 scourges on one of the mutas, then u shift click on the unit portrait once so u have 5 scourges marked, then u target a new muta and proceed the same way until u have spread all the 6 scourges on 6 different mutas. Its not that hard precision is important so u dont target the same unit twice. Remember that u need to be some distance away so you have time to clone them correctly. Im not sure if this was any help to u but as far as i know that is what cloning is about. GL ! Ah u mean each time u click on the portrait of a group of same units it will select a different one very time ?
