We're talking about 2009 forward. We're also talking about vs other foreigners. None of that is relevant. You brought up 2009 and 2010. Let's discuss 2009 and 2010.

Even still, IdrA has a higher overall winrate with a significantly larger amount of games in a far less amount of time while including his games vs korean progamers. Going 3-1 is far less impressive than 75-25 even though it's the same win rate.

i picked up 2009 onward because it it clearly Idra's strongest phase. I tried to show that beeing a very good player in that given timeframe doesnt make him as outstanding as you claim by comparing him to Mondragon during HIS strong period. And Wins vs Progamers impress me more than more games.

I came to the sudden realization that this thread is in the Strategy section and we're extremely far off from anything Strategy related. I'll let it go lol

Does anyone have a list of TvT VODs where it's 1 rax FE vs 2 factory of any type?

What comes first when calculating damage, the armor deduction, or splash-zone percentage modifiers?

Example: You have a medic with 4 armor (3 armor upgrades). An upgraded (125 damage) reaver scarab goes off in her general area. She's standing in the 50% splash zone.

Does she take:

1) 125 – 4 = 121 x .50 = 60.5 damage and die, or does she take

2) 125 x .50 = 62.5 – 4 = 58.5 damage, and live?

Thank you. I assume it's the same deal for size/damage-type modifiers, such as small-sized units vs explosive damage, etc?

I tested it, because I was pretty sure that the modifiers are applied before the armor is taken into account, but they implemented it differently. The order of calculation is: 1. Splash modifier 2. Armor 3. Damage type modifier. So in your case the medic will live.

Another example:
+2 Siege Tank attacks vs +2 Armor Vulture and gets twice 50% splash damage: 80-2*((80*0.5-2)*0.75)=23 of 80 HP left.
+2 Siege Tank attacks vs +2 Armor Vulture and hits once directly: 80-((80-2)*0.75)=21.5 of 80 HP left.

I just tested it too and you're right Cryoc, the splash modifier is applied first. Sorry about that Starlight.

Wow, cool (and well done).

The reality of it points out a couple of interesting scenarios... for instance, a +3 armor SCV can survive being in the 50% zone of an upgraded reaver scarab blast. Resilient little suckers.

Yeah you're right, I think I maybe just didn't check this game somehow. Someone else linked it to me.
I'm pretty certain that the other ones aren't vs Rax fe though. I'll maybe check later.
