In the StarCraft context. The word usually means like an "one strong punch/hit", but in Starcraft context, I guess it's more like "last ditch attacking potential" that can knock your opponent out with force. For example, even if you are not mining, and your bases are in shambles, if you have close to 200/200 3/3 mech army, you have a hanbang army. Or if you have close to 200/200 archon/reaver/templar composition against Zerg, you have a hanbang.

In PvT, what should I do with my reavers once the initial harass has been repelled? Keep them as harassing units or add them to my field army?
If added to army, where do I drop them in a battle? Bomb-style or further back?
|
I know of two uses following early harass. The reaver can be used to dampen any terran timing pushes and the reaver (with the company of goons) can be used to delay or deny the terran third.

If you can no longer harass with them due to turrets then add them to your army, dropping them in the middle of tank clumps can be very dangerous for them but also very rewarding if it goes right, you need to have other units coming in to take the fire and you can destroy a lot of tanks.

they're also pretty good at defending against vult harass if you have the shuttle near your base or outside the t's nat

you can keep it and use it to harass his fourth base where at that stage of the game, t players hardly every get any defence of any sort at the fourth
edit: i have a question about this map wuthering heights. if memory serves me right, the english name wasn't its original name and it had a korean pronunciation. does anyone know what it was?

I've got a few questions concerning ZvP.
Imagine a situation where the zerg contains a protoss on 2 bases with lurkers (zerg is on 3 bases).
If I don't want to let protoss break out, out of how many hatches do I need to pump ling/hydra/lurk and what is the best ratio of those assuming protoss is going gw units with obs. Assuming that the protoss failed to break out after his first attempt, can I drone up a bit and/or take a fourth base?
Now, if I want to only soft contain a protoss (retreat with lurkers as soon as he gets enough goons), how much economy and bases can I get without dying to a 2 base protoss all in. If he doesn't go all-in, how can I contest the protoss for map control or stop him from expanding too much?

Thanks a lot! And yes, that nony video was inspiring haha

Does anyone know how quickly 3 drones on gas mine? I'm trying to figure out when I should place my tech buildings so that I can research the instant they finish...so does anyone know a pretty accurate number of how quickly 3 drones on gas mine for optimal gas placement (main bases, where gas is on top/to the left) and expansions when geysers aren't in optimal position?

When I should get lurkers in ZvP? I still see progamers (snipealot (larva xD)) stick to hydras for a long time... (maybe its because they are massing hydras an expanding the mid-game but I am not sure) even when toss get his 3rd or when they take their own 4th So any good indicator guys? Or its just army composition or trying to hold key position in big maps idk I got lots of ideas but I cannot try them all ! Thanks !! ^^
