sry for the noob question, but how do i enable CPU throttling ? I have looked in ingame options > speed, like i read somewhere, but there isn't anything like that..

It's at the bottom of the speed options. There's really no way it isn't there.

It'll pick up my microphone and such, but not any sounds from my computer. Try reading the thread.
I've read it, and followed it to the T multiple times. Still doesn't work.

I've found a few additional optimizations for those of you with Quality of Service options in your router. I have a Linksys WRT-54G and under the Gaming & Applications section there is a QoS option in the sub menu. The following settings will help:
1. In the device priority, set the computer you're streaming from as highest priority. Put it's device name and it's MAC address. To find the MAC address, go to start->run, type cmd, then type ipconfig /all in the command prompt. Your MAC will be displayed in there.
2. If you're connected on ethernet as you should be, figure out which port you're plugged into and set that port's priority to high.
3. In application priority, add the following:
bw1 highest 6112 bw2 highest 4000 rmtp highest 1935
This helped me a LOT.

Your 'problem' is without a doubt the most discussed 'problem' and even addressed in my opening post.

i've made a personal channel but i can't make it verified for some reason. I have already tried 3 times and the last one they sent me this email:
"Unfortunately, we cannot approve your application at this time, due to the following issues: Unclear permissions: We cannot verify that you have the permissions / license to broadcast the content currently available on your channel. If you do have a license, please email verification@livestream.com with further evidence. The Livestream Team"
Anybody else having the same problem? Any tips to make them accept my request?

I recently installed a webcam and it's drivers. It seems to have broken my adobe encoder so that it doesn't show the Camtasia Studio Video Capture Driver in the dropdown menu. I had everything set up fine before.
I suppose I could try reinstalling Camtasia and see if that helps. Any other ideas? Obviously the Camtasia Studio Video Capture Driver should still be installed.
Edit: I reinstalled Camtasia as well as Adobe live encoder and it seems all right.

Livestream.com just released Procaster. You no longer have to use Adobe Live Media Decoder.
Edit: Hmm. Maybe I should have tryed it with Starcraft before I wrote the comment. Its not possible to use "Game" option. BW seems to be to old or somthing. And if recording "Screen" BW is in all black. So the old way with Media Decoder is still the best way for BW. But ProCaster works perfect with new games and dekstop.

I'm wondering if anyone can get their SC not to lag while recording with Camtasia. I have an e8400 so I figure that it should be able to handle it but my SC lags. I have CPU throttling enabled, SC set to realtime priority, and camtasia set to high priority.

In FMLE i don t know which Fms url i have to put in :s i try your exemple with my log ext.. but that did t work :s
ok it is fine know donno why oO lol

My comp lagged pretty bad too. But after reboot recording worked smoothly. o.o

http://www.justin.tv/ this might be a site to try for people who can't get livestream to work (or who think livestream sucks).

A lot of people with really good computers have lag issues. I don't understand how it happens or what is causing it. Try playing around with core affinities? Giving SC its own Core, or sharing that core with camtasia or sharing it with fmle.
Also try other codecs in FMLE (other than VP6) and see how it affects your cpu usage.
If you find a solution, please do tell.

I got good results (no lag) by capturing with the x264 codec in Camtasia.
I downloaded the x264vfw codec online and selected that as my video codec option in the live output window in Camtasia. I capture at 15fps. In Flash Media encoder, I select H264 as my video codec with settings of 480*360, 436 kb/s, and 15fps. For audio I select mp3 at 64kb/s. Combined, that's a total of 500kb/s, which is the maximum bitrate that Mogulus accepts.
I use a desktop with a e7200 processor (overclocked to 3.2 Ghz) and a ATI 2600xt graphic card. I also selected the option of "keep aspect ratio" in the image scaling window of the ATI Catalyst Control Center.
When you capture with the x264 codec instead of the techsmith codec, your computer runs smoother and your video looks smoother in Mogulus. I still have starcraft as high priority in Task Manager though.
edit: it works on my laptop too. Core 2 Duo (2.0Ghz) Nvidia 9600GT

Did you have the cursor/game lagg before you updated to that codec? And if so, did you do any special settings in the codec?
Ps. What camtasia version do you use? DS:

I have a problem using Camtasia 4.0.2. I followed the guide to the letter, did everything I was supposed to. I get ingame just fine, It streams just fine but once I attempt to fix the colours the screen stays black, up untill i alt tab from starcraft. Once I go back into the game the colours are screwed up again and quickly stopping and starting results in black untill alt-tab once again.
Does anyone know whats causing this or a solution for it?

I use Camtasia version 5.0.2. I downloaded x264vfw and I use the settings "Single pass - quantizer based (26)".
If you're low on CPU power, you could download XVID and do the same thing.

Any ideas how we can get the "Procaster" to work? There is no problem broadcasting newer games, but it seems that BW is too old --; as Saafen said: "Its not possible to use (Game) option. BW seems to be to old or somthing. And if recording (Screen) BW is in all black."
