Hello, I've recently got back into Starcraft and its pro gaming scene. While I was playing on B.net, I've been hearing of many utilities such as the listed in topic title that can show your APM, mineral/gas count and such. The question is, which one should I use? Are there any reasons why I should use one over the other (if there is any)?

Chaoslauncher is my favorite. ADVLoader was the best for me but apparently it began coming buggy / had spyware and viruses on it. BWLauncher bit outdated imo, I like Chaos the best. It has LAN Latency on bnet, and several plugins that will show APM and etc if you like, fully customizable. Lemme find you the thread!

Chaoslauncher works with ADVLoader now. All you have to do is install it and don't open it (recently people have gotten viruses or something). You can just install it and never even open it. Once you run Chaoslauncher, it'll detect the ADVLoader plugins and you can configure them in there. I hear you can even delete everything ADVLoader installed except for the plugins (just to be safe). Lastly, if you are using the LAN Latency plugin on Chaoslauncher, it'll only work with another Chaoslauncher that has the plugin. You can't mix and match with the iCCup launcher and ADVLoader.

I don't think that the plugins are working for me at all when I try and use the ADV stuff with chaos... help?

It'd be best if you ask MasterOfChaos about that. He is looking for bugs and errors so he'll probably help you in the Chaoslauncher thread. I didn't know there was a Zerg Mineral Hack detector. Where is that located? I don't want to open up the ADVLoader executable file again. Is there an update somewhere?

I've been looking through the posts to find something that would help me and all I see is that it works fro everyone and I have no idea what I'm doing with it. I've hooked everything up right as far as I can tell, but there is nothing that I can see that looks anything like the screenshot stuff that was on the website.

did you download the latest chaoslauncher?

I was using an old chaos launcher with the special file that would enable adv but you couldn't adjust them in chaos. then i just downloaded the latest chaos and it works much better now.

Here I made a pack with all the good stuff in it. http://www.filedropper.com/chaosadv just put the plugins folder in your starcraft folder and put the chaos folder somewhere else like my documents, etc.

DONT use advloader - it has ads and viruses galore.
chaoslauncher is 10x better.

the other program you need is BWChart http://bwchart.teamliquid.net/
open up the replay after each game to see the stats

I haven't gotten any viruses from ADVLoader. All you need to do is stay away from running ADVLoader itself. If you have it installed and you run Chaoslauncher. It'll work fine.

Hell I ran ADVLoader straight up for a while before chaoslauncher's support for its plugins came out... and I never got any viruses.

OH SHIT MAYBE THATS WHY STARCRAFT CRASHES LOL!

It still isn't working for me... At this point the ADVLoader plugin thing comes up in the Chaos launcher, but nothing happens in game. No timer, no stats, nothing. Any more pointers as to what is going on?

i dont feel safe having advloader in my comp 0_0 only opened it once or twice before and never used it after 0_0 chaoslauncher is better but i dont feel safe having advloader to be part of chaos

Why are you complaining. If you don't feel safe with something on your computer then don't put it on your computer. I don't understand what you are trying to accomplish with this post.
