I have been playing BW for sometime now and i always play terran but i have problems when fighting tank vs tank, as i can see from some vods that pros often use SCVs to attract fire and use their own tanks after but i have some real problmes doing that... can all u gosus give me some advise??? Thanks in advance ^_^

obviously you need to then set up before they set their tanks up. An almost surefire way of winning tvt is to make a huge contain. Its weird, btu if u make a line of turrets across the map, its quite hard for the other player to get around it. Also, if you find they dont have many gols or turrets, get dropships and just drop right on their ass. Really, tvt is just about not dying, not so much as winning (imo).

I hate containing Terrans. It is hard to make your 3rd and 4th expos against them.

im not sure what problems ure having with that. send scv (usualy couple) to take the first shot from the sieged tanks, send your tanks in after the scvs, when theyre in range seiege them. u should get a shot before they shoot their second.if its groudp vs group u can target 2-3 tanks (depending on upgrades and damage already done) per enemy tank so u take them out and dont waste your whoel group's attack on one tank... um. for me tvt always been about drops, but then i played some really good ppl and got owned now i dunno. seems teh mix wins, change your strats so your oponent doesnt know what to expect

All terran is - is expanding and starving...so...ledge drop him while expanding and defending your own ledges...this enables you to have an advantage of 2-1 tanks...thus you dont really need great micro...not other than that, to make tanks not attack yours...either send an scv like you said or if you dont have one or a building - put a tank farter in front than the rest then when they blow the first tank sidge the rest and blow them...now remember you have to have MORE tanks than they have to do this...other than this im not very good at giveing advice so..ill shut up now ^^

you have to time that correctly, too early u get owned by goliaths, too late u get owned by his bcs. also depends who you play, if u play on bnet random ppl, games dont last more than 20 minutes

Containing terrans is the best way to win TvT... in fact I just bring 3 tanks and siege outside his base and then build a turret line across the map. Once i've sieged its almost over at that point... I think TvT is like my best matchup. Of course if its a qwerky map like bifrost or something then its a whole new ball game.

Actually, knowing the tank range and tank sight of both their and your units precisely is your biggest advantage. Tanks have a firing range of 12, but a sight range of 10. Hence, in any situation where you can, eliminate his ability to continually see past his tanks initial sight range, while keeping yours out of his.

It is important you use your scanner, get them fast and early. knowing what the other guy is doing is what TvT is all about.

that was what i figured out too .. scan early scan much and you know what you have to counter
i usually build aca after 2fac (because i'm never afraid of wraiths i do not build engineering bay or armory
