I use that same :D But I also play more FPS
Great control with it

G1 is like TEH mouse for BW, it's ideal. Too bad mine got damaged when it crashed into a wall. ^^
I heard its out of production now, its a shame.

I have a g5 and the mini optical. I like the mini optical in bw but the dpi kills it for me it just jumps too much at high resolution
The G5 is alright but I wish it was smaller

Maybe this was mentioned earlier but: I want a mouse that uses progamers. I seriously do.

Christ, sorry to be an ass but this is like the 4th time in 3 days that I read this.
Repeat after me, slowly: P-R-O-G-R-A-M-M-E-R is a person that writes progams (ok vague definiton, but meh) P-R-O-G-A-M-E-R a gamer (player) that plays a (computer) game on a professional level. This is the word you are looking for.
Also: It's RazEr Diamondback, damnit. NOT RazOr(maybe care to read the very same link you posted?). Christ. Some people just make me very upset sometimes.

Not only that, but Razers are tacky flashy FPS pieces of crap that I'd never want to be seen using.
Long live the Logitech Genius Mini.

Are mice with extra buttons on them disallowed in proleagues?

I use this piece of crap. It's less than 10 dollars and feels like the best mouse I've ever used in my life.
What's the big deal about mice? ...just use what's comfortable for you, that's really the only important thing. If it's a Razer, then so be it, if it's a 5 dollar piece of crap more power to you. lol
Which progamer uses Razer Diamondback anyway? edit: i admit that mouse looks like the shit tho :D

LR, thanks for quoting me and sorry to disagree with you - I use a Razer and I love it (it's that cute red one that someone linked above) I know it isn't for the best, but I got quite big and long hands - it suits me, small mouses wouldn't. Also, it's kind of a superstition:
Spring, 2005 I was attending one of my (yet, at least) Hungarian LAN tourneys with my oldass, crappy A4tech mouse (seriously it was plastique, but SO HEAVY that many people mocked me for it - I was still very fast with it tho), but alas - I never used a mousepad with it, and the netcafé's desks, for some reason mutilated it's movement speed by 95% or so, no need to say I couldn't use it at all. Also, noone had a spare mousepad.
So, there I am, checking out the inhouse mouses (which sucked cock), when suddenly Cabala (at that point of time HUN-A leader) comes by and asks me about "Why the sad face, Naib?" I explain the situation, then he lends me his Razer Diamondback accompanied with his steelpad - "Here, now go and win this tourney for me, then remember to thank me for it in the end."
That was the first, (and last) LAN I've ever won. And almost everyone of Hungary's great names at that time was there (Kashuka and Gorky being an exception). No need to say that from the mass $$ I got as prize, my first thing was to buy my very own Razer - which I still use

I use the Microsoft wireless laser mouse 5000, it's nice, you pretty much just plug it in, or you can even program the two extra buttons. 4 Way tilt scroll.
I skipped completely from Ball mouse to laser, but if I was a pro gamer I'd probably go with old technology that never messes up with maintenence. My laser mouse left click occasionally sticks down... very annoying. I may have a powerful left click, but that's inexcusable, though forgiveable.
It's two generations ahead of everything else though.

Nice story
It's just personal preference, I suppose. I've had some bad run-ins with Razers :x
To each his own^^

Can somebody recommend me a mouse that's bigger than Logitech G5 ... this mouse is soooooo small for my hand
edit: BTW I checked out MX Revolution at some stores and it seems OK but the price is ridiculous; it's like 100 :O
|
Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000 is nice and large, but it's AMAZINGLY light.
My ball mouse is heavier, and it's default.
|
i use the logitech MX-518
its pretty good for me at its highest setting, i like the weight and shape. although don't trust by me, my hands are literally deformed(brachy dactylie of the 4th finger on both hands)

I use a razer copperhead, but it's a bit too heavy for starcraft. I think it's perfect for sensitive games that require really precise clicks over twitch clicks, like Warcraft 3 and Counterstrike (which might be why so many of them are sponsored by razer ._.) Then again, I'm pretty much talking out of my ass.
