Was browsing PGR21.com as usual, came across some tidbits. All the links are in Korean, so don't bother if you can't read them.

The map Haunted Forest might be on it's way out of the current OSL. The pro teams have expressed their displeasure with the map, in particular the trees in the middle causing units to become stuck under certain circumstances (vultures planting mines, lurkers burrowing/unburrowing in close proximity with other units). OGN is looking into replacing the map mid-season.
Some other posts I've read suggest the map makers were aware of these problems during testing, but OGN approved of the map anyway.

Gretech, the makers of GomPlayer and GomTV, and sponsors of the MSL are interested in becoming a producer and broadcaster of their own progaming content. Already having a studio of their own, they plan to hold a 16 man invitational tournament of the league winners + top kespa rankers of 2007. They are also said to be interested in the broadcasting rights to the proleague, currently shared half and half by OGN and MBCGame.

argh, Haunted Forest looked like an interesting map, sad to hear there were some bugs =(
Also, what's up with Gretech? Do they have a TV-channel or are they looking to broadcast solely over the internet?

I think they should at least remove SOME trees, that forest is WAYYY too crowded.

If you've actually played Demon's Forest, there are a fuckload of expansions.
edit: i hope they dont remove it, but modify it it heavily, like put an eleveated area in the middle (peaksy style)

CJ has 24.5%, which is the largest share to a single entity. (Second: the CEO of Gretech, with 10.1%
However, in terms of CJ (24.5) versus the Gretech executives (35.8% all together) CJ's not really in a place to be calling the shots.

Top16 KeSPA will be an amazing tournament. Any champions will likely be in the top 16 though already. It'll be like WCG Korea, but with less chaff (not to say that 17-22 are chaff, but top 16 is just so much power.
Also sad to hear bad news about Demon Forest. Hopefully they just modify the map to help pathing rather than chuck it all together. Don't expect a new map though, they will bring in a previously used (and likely fair) map to replace it if they do.

why not just edit the map so there are trees but they don't disrupt movement? should be easy to do with some of the advanced map editors. the trees will still provide cover and disrupt line of sight, but they won't disrupt movement.

i like the idea of "haunted forest" lol. i think the map is still usable if we stop being a tree hugger and support the paper industry.

Just put some more space in between. I tought the trees idea was really cool but without the trees it looks kinda crappy and too organised. I tought it was more random wich would have been a lot cooler.

You could make the forest smaller so that there are clean ways around it. Then you could actually use the forest to hide.

Well, I guess I don't know how bad things glitch.. I was just thinking that sometimes vultures got stuck for a couple seconds or something, but they will even do that sometimes going around buildings or other units anyways.
If it's worse than that, then it might be a big deal, but the spawn imba on Fantasy just pisses me off...

Honestly i think they should just remove some of the trees, i think this map is really cool and innovative, and opens up a lot more strategies that we haven't seen before (i mean he went fcking parasite!! xD badass!) ..thats my two cents.
