you don't need a crack to use no CD, blizzard patched that in like 1.12 or some shit.
All you gotta do is copy install.exe file and rename it to broodwar.mpq

1.15.3 I think. The easiest way to get all the necessary files to play without a CD is to register your key at battle.net and download it from them, at least imo.

Alright so I ended up getting it working by running chaoslauncher with no compatibility changes other than running as administrator. Having SC startup as administrator by default and also compatibility windows 98/ME but nothing else.

Just to add to the list of possible "black screen of death," solutions: I tried everything from compatibility settings, to batch files, to manually setting the color mode and resolution of my monitor, for like three days. Still got BkSOD, even through ChaosLauncher and ICCup launchers.
My fix was to switch my main monitor to my 1680x1050 monitor. If I launched ChaosLauncher from that monitor (instead of my ASUS 120Hz) it ran fine. I could even drag the window into the ASUS screen and play on it. Crazy.

I would like to point out that Chaos Launcher is pretty much required if you would ever want to video capture Starcraft with fraps. Fraps and Starcraft 1 do not mix anymore since Windows Vista was released.
I keep "Monitor Aero desktop" checked and then I can video capture Starcraft while it's in windowed mode. Unfortionatly you will need quality video editing software later to crop Starcraft in windowed mode to make it appear as if it were in regular fullscreen mode.

Why not just use Open Broadcaster Service (obs) and capture it in fullscreen with UScreen?
Edit: With obs it even looks exactly like it would in fullscreen.

can anybody help me with the autorep function?
i enabled having that the reps are saved with name and race but it only saves the number.
but the function works fine when i use Wlauncher.

Please post your Chaosplugin.log. I think missing RepAnalyser.dll could cause the problem you're seeing. The logfile should confirm that.

thats correct, in my log it says, "Load ReplayAnalyser.dll the system could not find the given file" (rough translation)
how can i fix this?

Is there a `ReplayAnalyser.dll` in the same directory as your `Chaosplugin.bwl`? If not, redownload and unpack chaoslauncher.

Does anyone have a link to the iCCup plugin for Chaos? I can't seem to find it and I've tried some of the suggestions in old threads such as switching around iccscbn files and what not but none of it has worked so far.

Hello! I'm trying to play SC BroodWar in windowed mode using ChaosLauncher.

What I have tried so far:
Killing the chaoslauncher process after it encounters the error and restarting.
Having the Set Screen Resolution window open while trying to launch SC.
Many different settings of compatibility (checking all boxes, no boxes, and everything in between, with and without run in compatibility for windows 98 and windows xp)
Reinstalling SC:BW and Chaoslauncher
Everything runs fine as long as I don't try to use WMode. I also used to be able to use this program and wmode sometime last year without any problems, but when I started trying a few days ago it's suddenly giving me this error.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
EDIT: I'm using Win7 64bit

Try disabling all other plugins except w-mode and try again. Also, any reason why you're still using 1.15.2?

I have the same problem but the solution is quite simple: Uncheck the WMode plugin, start BW, exit BW, enable WMode plugin, start BW, enjoy!

Hi,
I have Windows 7 Pro, and my StarCraft's colors are completely messed up. I've downloaded the Chaoslauncher, but just running StarCraft from it I get an error:
"Could not obtain SeDubugPrivilege
Some plugins mightnot work correctly or cause errors
You need to be admin and if you are using vista you have to set the adminflag in the properties of Chaoslauncher.exe
Not all privileges or groups referenced are assigned to the caller (1300)"
It runs despite this, but the colors are worse than ever. When I run W-MODE 1.02, the colors are perfect but it's in window mode and I want it in full screen mode.
Also, is there any way for me to play on ICCup and get ranked?

Can anyone advise me on how to play on ICCup the standard BW Ladder? Don't know much about it.
