But this isn't the game I was looking for, I think it was PvT and it must have been Snow or possible Stork vs Flash. It was such a good game.

Winning is about self confidence. Shuttle has that big brother vibe going for him. Personally, I think anything 1-10 was super high cerebral, 10-19 was dumber by the minute like SC2, but I like 10-19 better. However on single matchups, I think somewhere around 1-10 were best, I forgot which seasons had the most arbiter stasis pushes I find best.

Why were seasons 1-10 more cerebral than what came after?

Imagine how bad it was with tvz that larva is known for spam games with flash and always asking for re. Well back then Larva was so tilted that he alt F4 BW and launched league of legends. FlaSh was asking for re and larva told him that he will no play against him anymore if he continues doing the same build LOL.
Season 16 17 and season 19 Were really good too.
The season that Flash played random was also very hype cuz no one expected FlaSh to beat Snow or Bisu with Protoss or even Rush with Protoss but he did lol. The highlight of that Season was making it third Place with Random pretty much.
I actually like that season less because T and P rely so strongly on knowing their opponent's races that FlaSh having his race hidden until he was scouted worked greatly in his favor. VS SoMa's zerg it just did not work at all.
It doesnt matter how greatly it works i promess to you he has still to play a race that is not his main. And outperform vs Opponents main race.. For some reason Flash run is not considered as good cuz he didnt actually won the whole season. In fact his Random made top 3 in ASL. Do you know how many progamers didnt even reach a semis at this point ? lol
No only that. Flash doing different Builds as protoss vs his opponents was also very interesting to me. How his terran mind was put to try it with different strategies.
Ofc there was luck in his run. But will it be actually any different to people that made it to semis or finals ? They also need luck is not everything skill to win a tourney. vs Rush specially the stars aligned with him. But at the same time his mindgames the whole series was extremely high. There was an interview where he explains how he predicted most of the stuff Rush will try.
I thought most people rated that run very highly, it was pretty nuts and hyped.
But on the flipside, he did roll the dice pretty well and some of his wins were pretty gimmicky.

It was pretty easy to follow the action during the second part. I guarantee you you couldn't guess it in 1-10 like you could in 10-19.

I disagree with 1-10 being more cerebral. 10-19 are much more refined with smaller marging for error.

Is not like he was any better than now. Is more like It was vs Sharp who at the time was known for being extremely weak vs Protoss. But in Shuttle's credit he also beat Last on his way to the Final. Also is funny that havent Effort made a 5 pool in group stages vs him . he wouldnt even have advanced lol.

1-10 was berserk. 10-19 was refined, but in a noninteresting way SC2 is. Maybe I'm overly nostalgic. I still have a predisposition to PvT. 10-19 feels more TvZ favoured. Good, but not like PvT wild.
Season 6 efforts run was amazing and got me really excited about the scene again. I also really loved the 2 seasons with mini vs larva and mini vs rush. Really good games and i loved the storyline of mini coming so close Vs larva and then going back to final next season to win.
That EffOrt's run vs Rain, Last and Flash was legend. Opponents got stronger and stronger and yet, he came up on top with the most amazing finishes having the odds against him. Bro is the toughest mf in the whole downtown.

I really disagree with that. Season 10+ was better to me in every aspect except maybe some maps being way too unbalanced. And perhaps the enforcement of less bases, less minerals at some expansions did force games to generally be a bit shorter, which also resulted in more semi-all-in timings. I think if they reduce the size of the map pool back to 5, and take out some obvious weird maps, that the competition will feel both maximum refined and berserk.

Just to concur: do you think more bases and more minerals are what made 1-10 seasons PvT festivities? We might have stumbled upon some brilliant idea.
