Man there’s such depth in ASL, most these groups there’s 3/4 who on their day could get out at least, and many it’s all participants

Ample's TvP is simply monster mode lately. Definitely more of a heart pick than a brain pick, but I don't think it's that much of a stretch. I think Larva is a bit more of a threat to him since his TvZ isn't as strong, but I've also seen Larva struggle in the matchup in recent streams to the point where Rush is literally laughing out loud while sniping his mutas over and over. Speed/Bisu Confident in this pick, and I don't even think Bisu is very good nowadays. Speed is a guarantee IMO - just so strong in TvT. Mini/soma Would love sSak to go through, but I don't see it happening. Saber is a future threat in ASL I think but it's hard to give him the edge over these veterans given it's his first appearance. Queen/effort Simply picking the best two players. ZvZ group is wild. Rush/ParalyzE I don't see Mong getting through, so the main question is whether JD can do it. Honestly, my brain says it will be JD over ParalyzE for the same reason I don't see Saber getting through, but I'd love an upset. BarrackS/hero Only question here for me is whether it's BarrackS or RoyaL. Purely based on recent ASL performance, it just feels like RoyaL hasn't quite been able to cut it whereas BarrackS is a firehose of potential. I think it's his time.

Overall, excellent group for Larva. Even against 3 T, Bisu is gone. Saber is in the group of death, gg I wont risk any predictions for group D, but go Calm I think Paralyze is over-rated, so 2nd place will be between JD and Mong. Probably Mong. Easy group for Rush Finally a good group for sOrry, and i hope TRUE can make it as well. herO is not playing well right now, and could get eliminated.

Some of your predictions are indicating that you still think this is 2020.

You got the Gas Station Terran, aka Mechanic Terran, chomping on a 3 day old piece of a gum, doesn't bargain, will absolutely overcharge. He knows people look down on him a little, but it's your car in his garage. Can you fix a fucking engine? Didn't think so. But then you have Mini, BGH, with his fuckin safari hat and Sako S20 rifle, beige pollo on beige high rise shorts, tall white socks, heading into the jungle for some soma panther meat. He looks like any old hunter, albeit on the nerdy side, and on top of all that getup a deck full of aces up his sleeve, including claws that rival the panther's, and martial arts skills that would make Steven Seagal in his prime look like an unborn teletubby. Like it does look scary when you have that epic cinematic shot of the panther through the leaves, maybe with a little David Attenborough narration—and anyone expects the hunter to get his ass killed, especially for wearing shorts like that. But the hunter is only appearing to look a little weak lately. It's all part of a greater tapestry. The mankillers spot what they perceive to be weakness, become overly aggressive, and the Sako S20 cleans up. The hunter, instead of running into the forest like Arnold Schwarzenegger, covering himself in mud like a little bitch, walks right on the path. The panther, not realizing he's up against an Aikido master who will use his own aggression against him as he charges in and then hurl his ass back into the woods like an empty box, sees the hunter coming down. The panther waits for the whistling beige on beige afternoon snack to pass. The hunter's back is to him now. The panther jumps out without a sound, not a leaf disturbed. The hunter turns, fingers on his left hand stiff and curled to intercept a paw, the Sako in his right swinging around to line up with the head. But it's a panther, and his Aikido does shit, and the Sako misses, and the panther bites his throat so he can't even scream, and tears back and forth until the hunter is completely still, his head and neck like a smashed peanut butter jelly sandwich at the base of school cafeteria garbage can, that a kid didn't want and now he hates his mom even though it tastes fine like that. The panther stomps out the last few warping in photon cannons to the saddest violin you've ever heard, and all the probes pop like popcorn, and the hunter's dead left hand posthumously twitches Morse a single g.

ALSO BOLD PREDICTIONS picking all the clear favorites. I'm just blown away over here. Yo, Sharp is old. He's a cool guy I'm sure, but he's like the grandpa from 3 Ninjas. He can still fight but he's more of a teacher now. Ample's gonna give him an Oberyn Martel death scene, there's no two ways to slice it. Also shit man, wouldn't mind Paralyze getting through. I've seen a grand total of 0 of this dude's games but I'd clap my feet if he made a real splash. Maybe he'll win the whole tournament. Maybe it'll be him vs Mong in the finals.

Sharp and Larva. Sharp is pretty consistent and Larva being back and already in really solid form should go through. B: Speed and Bisu. Speed is generally good in TvT and Bisu, even in not a super optimal form should be able to do it with one matchup to practice. Difficult group. C: Soma and Mini. After Soma got back, he plays like crazy and plays really really good. Mini is reasonably consistent and if he doesnt go crazy (like few seasons ago against sSak) he should be able to do it. But sSak can definitely surprice. D: Insanity. Queen is great in ZvZ and I would bet he ll go on, others.. No clue. ![]() E: Rush and JD. Both consistent, playing a lot and in good form. F: RoyaL and herO. As previous group, both playing a lot and very good. Especially RoyaL feels to me to be in really good shape.

B: Bisu and Speed. These guys haven't played against each other much, but Bisu and Speed are both quite good against Terran, and JyJ is mediocre against Terran and poor against Protoss. C: Mini and Soma. Mini is 10-5 against Soma over the last months. This idea that Soma is going to wipe the floor with Mini is totally unsupportable with the evidence. I don't think sSak is likely to beat Mini, because Mini is up 8-2. I do think sSak has a chance against Soma. He's 14-20 against Jaedong, 45-54 against Queen, and 20-29 against hero. I think Soma is favored, but sSak absolutely has a chance to make an upset. D: Queen and Effort. There's a lot of variance here. Queen is the best ZvZer, but best of 1 means literally anything can happen here. E: Rush and Jaedong. Mong is better than people think, but these are tough matchups for him. He's 0-3 against Rush and 3-9 against Jaedong. F: Royal and Barracks. This is a tough group for hero with some weird rock-paper-scissors dynamics. He's 25-33 against Royal, 14-9 against Barracks, and by far the worst at ZvZ among the top pros (4-6 against BTS). Royal, on the other hand, is 4-6 against Barracks and 10-10 against BTS. Barracks is 22-8 against BTS. In terms of the Tier 4s, I think BTS has a solid chance of making it out. hyun and TY do it on a good day, and I think Ample has an outside shot. Saber and Paralyze are hopeless.

Group B: Speed JYJ (neat group for bisu only has to practice PvT but I dont think he makes it .. i do really hope TY makes it out of this group like cross-polination between sc2 and bw players are always good ) Group C: Mini Soma (one of the more obvious groups) Group D: Queen Effort (tf is this all zerg group lmao) Group E: JD Rush (the only group i'm kinda almost certain how it turns out) Group F: Royal + 1 (even group)

A: Larva, Stork. Larva seems like a clear favorite but Stork should make it out on the back of his PvT... assuming he practices at all. B: Bisu, JyJ. Neither should be challenged by the other two. C: Mini, soma. Ditto. D: effort, Queen. Hyun seems the odd one out. I don't quite trust Calm's ZvZ, though I guess if Queen chokes again... E: Rush, Jaedong. JD could even get out first. F: hero, BTS. hero is the obvious pick; I don't have much confidence in either of the Terrans although I think on paper BTS is the underdog. But he's showed some fun games, would be nice to see him get through.

A: Stork / Sharp, always rooting for Stork, didn't get a chance to watch Larva's quals so idk what shape he's in. B: Bisu / Speed, I could see Speed getting ahead in the TvTs! C: Mini / Soma, dunno who will go out in first though! D: Queen / effort, fun group to make lmao E: Rush / JD F: herO / Barracks, I love Barracks hahaha I really hope he makes it out.
