My original disks are in my home country and I am now in Greece, and I wanted to ask, does someone knows what exactly and where to write in the registry so the patch will allocate the game 10x in advance p.s I cannot torrent down starcraft.iso as well and reinstall, because my cd key is also not here.. | ||

b) Replace the new installation's stardat.mpq with your old installation's stardat.mpq Since stardat.mpq contains your CD-key and has, every time I have tried, worked across all pathces, you now have a StarCraft installion with registry entries and your old CD-key. | ||

or Create one of the two registry keys: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Blizzard Entertainment\Starcraft\ HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Blizzard Entertainment\Starcraft\ And in it create a string value, named "InstallPath" containing the full path to the game folder. | ||

Give the directory where your starcraft is, it will generate the appropriate registry file for you to add. | ||

How do I add this to my registry?, I was thinking to change the extension and import it, but I don't want to make more a mess than I already have. btw, I moved the whole SC folder to another Hardrive for backup, and am moving it back to my main HD, but it won't update now so I've been tryin to fix it.. I have the broodwar disk, so I thought mabye I could just reinstall Broodwar, but no it doesnt think i have original SC installed also so that didn't work... Everywhere else i've been tells me to just reinstall everything, but i'm lacking the original SC disk, only have kept the expansion ;0 Thanks if anybody able to help | ||
