1.16 was not made for widescreen. Don't really know if this has anything to do with the issue. | ||

I meant installing older Windows as separate so when you boot the system you can choose which one to run. Only thing you need is like 20ish GB on your HDD, XP takes even less like 10GB. | ||

Widescreen ratio is normally 16 : 9, but the old broodwar was made for 4 : 3 screens with 640 x 480 resolution  Can you find picture scaling or similar option from your GPU settings? try turning it off and selecting 640 x 480 resolution or a resolution with similar ratio. This used to help with strected image with widescreen monitors back in the old days. | ||

Fiddle with all the scaling and ratio options, one of them will work well with BW 1.16 | ||

The issue may be with Surface Laptop whose display has an unusual length-width ratio... | ||

http://winner.cspsx.de/Starcraft/ The included plugin called W-Mode lets you play in a window. So set your tablet resolution to the smallest you can, and then play in windowed mode. It's better than nothing. | ||
