Wrong Server Issue

Hello, everyone I was hoping you could all help me with something so angry Korean players stop yelling at me for causing lag

Also, forgive me if I shouldn't have made this a new topic, you can move it if that's the case.

So the issue is that despite selecting the US East server, my games end up on the Korean server. I attached photos to show that I do in fact select US East. Sorry the pictures are bigger than I expected and was too lazy to change haha.

I select US East Server.

This screenshot is to show I'm in the game menu and clearly it's US East at this point (100 players online).

Lastly, to show this is on the matching US East account from previous screenshot.

I really do not understand what I'm doing wrong or how to fix this and thought it was just very strange. It's very possible I'm just an idiot and don't know what I'm doing.

The ladder is cross-server.

hmm only other option I can think that you can change is in the battle.net launcher. You can change the region there. Having said that, unless I'm mistaken (haven't laddered in a while), I think it's a global ladder so even if you select the US East gate, you can potentially get Korean opponents depending on MMR, queues etc... Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

edit: I stand uncorrected haha.

Oh I really didn’t know. But it seems like US east has so few players I regularly play on Korean server. I’ll try west. Thanks to you guys!

I m east, moved from Europe to Canada. Whether i play east, west or EU same amount of koreans as the ladder is cross server and the algorithm is independent on the server you select first. I get probably 95% koreans. I have a good ping to korea though.

I don't think there is much you can do about it...
