Having a resource like this out in the open would be good. Unsolicited messaging of people isn't that kosher, especially if they haven't put themselves out there. For those that don't want to coach. It becomes a headache to sift through messages about shit youre not interested in from random people. EDIT: Another thing to bring up is that it might get uncomfortable for the coaches and for those curious about getting coaching to see pricing out in the open. Not sure how best to deal with that. I could see many people getting butthurt if one coach of similar skill level is charging twice as much as another. That is however the free market and the coach has to decide how much his time is worth. Its not uncommon in the poker community for elite players to try and price out all 99.9% of everyone just to end up with next to no one except maybe 1 person every few months, just because they don't want to really coach, unless it becomes extremely lucrative for them to take the student. That said, I am fairly certain that there would likely be enough demand at lower price levels that players would likely get completely swamped if they price too low. | ||
