Streamers on Trovo can also earn income through the Trovo 500 Program on top of subscriptions and donations. It's easy to earn subscription privilege too - only need five hours of streaming and 20 followers.
If we are successful with our first event in terms of attracting decent viewership, they will continue to sponsor more matches on Trovo, and so with that there is a potential that we can qualify for their streamer program, and that earned income from their program could go straight to prize pools to benefit Trovo event players (on top of the sponsored prize pool from Trovo) as well as compensate casters, graphic designers, etc. This would be possible since I do everything for free and don't have admins cost. If enough income is earned from one of the higher tier Trovo streamer programs, then we could also possibly sometimes hire Artosis and/or Tasteless to cast some events.
But the greater vision or goal is to host some events on Trovo and attract a lot of viewers on there to raise awareness around their platform and gradually get more top foreign (and Korean) Brood War individual streamers on there who stand a chance of qualifying for their streamer program. This could be a really good way to financially support existing Brood War players and attract newcomers.

Thanks man. I'll mention a few things about our map pool. First, I think high level players in a long series to determine the better player should have some say in the map pool and all maps shouldn't be decided by an organizer against the will of players. I know you weren't suggesting that by the way. Two, enough standard/ladder maps should be in a map pool because these are the maps players are most familiar and comfortable with and able to produce good games on since they can transfer their builds/strategies on them relatively easily. Sometimes if you impose new or very old maps on players, they struggle to adapt to them, and the content suffers as a result, short or wonky games. Third, a loss or win sometimes doesn't 'count' to fans/viewers or even the players when it's on a very new or old map. People want to know who is the better player and maps are very important deciding factor.
Having said all this, we are featuring the following maps:
Polypoid, Neo-Sylphid, Eclipse, Circuit Breakers , Fighting Spirit, Optimizer, Ringing Bloom, Sparkle (Dandy's pick), and Gladiator (Dewalt's pick).
OP has been updated to include map pool now that both Dandy and Dewalt have chosen one map each.

Make sure to add this to the TL bar with a clickable stream link, otherwise many people will miss it.

The event has been added to TL calendar and Terror and Dandy's armies have been summoned.

He got confused by daylight savings time, he showed up an hour later.

Dewalt thought it was an hour later too. But fortunately everyone played as scheduled. Thanks to Terror, Khala, Dewalt and Dandy for treating us to a spectacular event and many thanks to the casters Kwark, Machine and Pato for going out of their way to make tonight extra special for the English and Spanish speaking viewers <3

Overall - a great event! Thanks, guys

thanks for the event. website is a bit laggy but it will be better I hope in future

Just 720p is a bit of a bummer. But I was able to watch the VOD with no problems otherwise.
Dewalt is playing really confident right now. (judging by the choice of builds and how aggressive he is)

Yeah Trovo saves VODs in 720 p for now. It's still in Beta version. I'm going to upload it onto your YT soon and so it will be in higher resolution then. It just takes a while to download apparently because they're still in Beta.

I'm becoming a big fan of Trovo. My prediction is they will continue to see growth as others tighten up the ecosystems.

I think their UI is unintuitive compared to other major sites. It's the same reason I seriously dislike facebook streams. They're a nightmare on every level (and so have their videos been for years).
