Would anyone be interested in playing in a similar thing artosis is doing for maps that I pick and commentate on? I would be willing to offer incentives and a similar loser is out for next map until 1v1 style tournament? Start with 8 players first out is eliminated from tourney, offer winner of each match 5$ and overall winner gets main prize of 40$ or whatever? Any map suggestions ?
Im thinking small divide/space madness for the 1v1 , new blood bath for 4, predators for the 5, micro hunters or abbotair for 8.
No pro maps, only blizzard maps/modified versions (or any decent/interesting community maps), low money.
What maps do you guys suggest?
PS- this would probably go down on my day off /Tuesday when I can stream for a couple of hours around noon PST +
PPS- is an entry fee asking too much to cover the purse? Like a few dollars?
Each map someone stands to win 5$ and if they win the final map thats 40$, You dont have to win any of the map, just not lose first to advance. So multiple shots at winning 5$ every map, potentially winning 35$ in 7 games and then 40$ for the final 1v1 (75$). I was thinking like 2-3$ entry fee so I'd still be losing money- The main point is just to attract people who are confident in their skills and serious about finishing out the tourney and not just a bunch of random people who wont show up, collude, vandalize, etc.
I was actually noticing that a meta strategy in artosis FFA tourney was to simply rush out a player so that it guarantees the rusher moves on to the next map, so I was thinking that first 2 out are up for a coinflip to see who is eliminated and who advances. eg; 8 man ffa, first 2 players eliminated are both subject to advance to the next match.
Is this the same tQ clan for like 10 years or so? I believe I was in that clan back in the day.

PS- Should MC of workers be banned?
Yes! What was your tQ name my friend? Think Quick was born in 2004, so 16 years ago, although we did re-activate during SC2 for a year or so (with a sponsor mind you). Good times. We got members on US West today, playing 2s and hanging out in op [tQ]
I don't think charging people to participate in a prize event is a very good idea in principle, nor is it going to attract players in practice.
