almost all these korean amateur tourneys have very low prizepool and viewership count, most of them barely even reach 50 viewers, 100 viewers if lucky...like this tourney has starbuck coupons as prizes lol. how would they ever improve without support/incentive, when current kr scene is still pretty much kespa expro worship. only 1 amateur rose to pro standard out of his own sheer will/determination (soma)

It's like foreign tournaments essentially, but actually worse because literally nobody in korea bothers watching when they can just watch the pros.

A team sponsored by TL maybe? Players recruited via BSL. ZZZero can contact Ken Kim, the commissioner of HAMIC Starcraft Amateur Team League for Happy Starcraft. HAMICtv afreeca : http://bj.afreecatv.com/itskentime HAMIC NAVER cafe : https://cafe.naver.com/pgrstar
I think the design of HAMIC is creative, everybody involved, gosu and chobo make the same contribution to the team, you can’t just rely on several super stars to win.
Top 5 people of various races who can't win prizes: 15 tortoise ladders: 15 Hamic Points (sponsored by Morikogoro) King of the Lost: Starbucks Dessert Set 1 (Sponsored by Ying Cha) Integrated War King: Starbucks Americano 1 (Sepadak Sponsored) The multi-pointed king: Chicken 1 (Sepadak sponsored) King of various races: 3M post-it dispenser set KR2003 1 each free shipping (sponsored by Cyber Duran) Win rate king (20+ games): round frame with blue screen blocking lens (sponsored by sock)
By the People, For the People, Happy Starcraft, actually the sponsors are aslo players.

I've reached out to caster Kim to see whether a foreign team could participate in a future season. The gist of it is a foreign team would be welcome, though it might be somewhat difficult to pull off due to logistics and such. The matches are played out from Sunday to Thursday at 9PM Korean and we'd need players for each one of the specified skill brackets, though I haven't quite figured out how they work and will prolly need to clarify.

There are many korean players playing in STPL with same issue.. I'm not saying it's a good thing (tr10 and lower..) but can be done, especially if it's not that competetive.

of course this is me not putting myself in the player's shoes who have their own motivations weather or not they want to play.
Ah the memories! I wish Sayle still casted, and that Sziky still played :D
