After you make this change to the registry, you must change the Read-Only attribute for all affected folders by using the attrib command at a command prompt (Command.com or Cmd.exe). Type attrib /? at the command prompt to view the syntax for the attrib command. For example, to change the Read-Only attribute to System for the C:\Test folder, use the following command: attrib -r +s c:\test

If you are having problems with the dos bit. its pretty simple. What folder is staying as read-only? if it is the leagues folder for example do this. 1. Go Start>Run> And type cmd This will display a DOS prompt screen 2. Now type "DIR" - This will display. Program files is called something like program~1 Type attrib -r -s c:/program~1/starcraft/leagues EDIT: found out how to.

Edit: After some research, I am not sure if this is the problem. Apparantly all folders in XP are read-only. So I dont know if this is hte problem :S

I cannot test all this out, as I dont have this problem and I am usin a Mac. So please post your results here. If you are having problems with the dos bit. its pretty simple. try this: C:\>attrib -r -s c:/"Archivos de programa/starcraft/leagues" u might add /D /S to traverse all folders and files (might take a while) C:\>attrib -r -s c:/"Archivos de programa/starcraft" /D /S I've done some research, is your read-only on a folder shaded grey? Thos does not mean it is read-only. try attrib c:/"Archivos de programa/starcraft/leagues" to find out the attributes form google groups http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.windowsxp.general/browse_thread/thread/f680df9cee595727/29a92fd845a3a40a?lnk=st&q=what does a shaded read only folder mean&rnum=1&hl=pl#29a92fd845a3a40a

I stayed loading for a while doing the subfolders i guess, but when i checked the folders they were still read only. Anyone with WGTour working for them can check if their XP folders show as read-only? Also, when i wanted to check attributes nothing came up, except this: ![]()

Edit: if this is a file access problem u can check Access Conrol List on starcraft, but with administrator rights that should not be the problem but anyway in tools -> folder options ->view -> uncheck "use simple file sharing" and check security tab on starcraft and leagues folder, try giving rights to everyone roup (you have to translate that to spanish probably)

download http://download.sysinternals.com/Files/ProcessMonitor.zip uzip and run it go to filter -> Filter... Add 2 filters: 1 Process name is StarCraft.exe (might be case sensitive) 2 Reuslt is not SUCCESS hmm there are many events for that filter, I try to narrow a little bit: 1 Process name is StarCraft.exe 2 Path is C:\Program Files\Starcraft\leagues\WGTour\WGTour.mpq After you added the filters run starcraft -> multiplayer -> choose gateway -> leagues exit starcraft and look at the results This might show you if starcraft can acces the files if it can then the problem is somwhere else my starcraft can access the files: ![]() when u use only the first filter there will be many other "results" dont look at the "no more files" i had many of those and many calls to non existing registry entrys, u have to look for others that are suspicious, i didn;t have any ' access denied' results but maybe just tried to forbid starcraft to read the wgtour directory i had 1 event with access denied so a filter 1 Process name is StarCraft.exe (might be case sensitive) 2 Reuslt is ACCESS DENIED (ninja edit) might also help
