Since I have asked numerous times in other threads...
I have put the WGTour.mpq in my starcraft/leagues/wgtour/ folder and When I click on Leagues on Europe it says \"No Leagues Installed\"
I then copied and pasted the .mpq to just the starcraft folder, and still nothing seems to work. How do I fix this? I wanna play WGTour!

The same happens to me and lots of people i know. I posted on the WGTour forum and i tried EVERYTHING to fix it. No luck yet. The admins dont seem to know what it is also.
Things i tried:
Reinstalling Copying the .mpq file everywhere Re downlaoding the MPQ Installing in an english directory (I have spanish windows) I use original CD without loaders or isos. Disabling Antivirus I dont have a firewall I dont have a router.
Dont know what it can be.

where exactly is your mpq file located right now?

Well. what I did was just put it in the SC folder and they told me to reset my WGT account password, so I did that and then it worked for me.

I have a .mpq in C: ProgramFiles/Starcraft/Wgtour.mpq one in C: ProgramFiles/Starcraft/Leagues/WGtour/Wgtour.mpq one in C: ProgramFiles/Starcraft/WGtour/Wgtour.mpq
I have it in practically every stupid folder.

Did you set your game name on the WGT site? It's not listed as a step for installation anywhere, but I had this exact same problem and that's how I fixed it, of course not your WGT account name but your fixed game name or whatever...at the site it's settings>modify your ladder nick name and make sure it's the same as the name you're using blah blah. If that's not it, oh well I tried. Worked for me.

yes. My Ladder nickname and my battle.net ID are the same.

Im thinking you might've fucked things up when you unzipped it in starcraft/leagues/wgtour/.
If I remember correctly, you were to unzip the MPQ in /Programs/Starcraft/ and not go any further. At least thats how I did it. Might wanna delete everything and try that... other than that I dont know :/

Ok I am going to run through this step by step to hopefully get some questions answered. If you are still having problems we will need to tackle them 1 on 1 or in fact you have a firewall you're not aware of on your computer, but we'll hit that later if none of this works (unlikely none of this will work).
Here's my test name: TestUser
Now I logged onto Battle.net and I clicked leagues, this screen came up:
Now the only way to get this screen is if your MPQ is in the right location, so if you have something different at this step, we need to look back for a minute. If the dropdown box does NOT say "World Game Tour," you do not have the WGTour.mpq in the right location. It's as simple as that! You may think you do but this proves you really don't. Typically what I've heard done for other users is the following:
1) Re-download it and replace it. Delete the old one and put another. 2) Re-install Brood War. 3) Download it with a different extracting program. For the sake of this tutorial let's use winRAR. I suggest this because I used it and I can get on the league; therefore you should too.
*PLEASE MAKE SURE!!!!! Some people were not extracting the file and they were just leaving the zipped file in their starcraft folder. Yah that won't work, it must be unzipped. When you download it you should just follow these steps:
1) Select "Open" (on your unzipping program)
2) Select "Extract"
3) Choose C:\Program Files\Starcraft {Look for it instead of copying this directly just in case your computer is set up differently. Make sure it doesn't go any further than the STARCRAFT folder
Once you do this you will at the very least get the menu that came up for me on battle.net. If you are still having trouble at this step you should look around your computer better for firewalls and//or contact your ISP.
Moving onward!!!!
As you can see from above, it says I am not registered on the league! AH that's right! So I will pull up my WGTour Account.
OH NO!!!!! The ladder name is completely wrong. So I change the name to my account: TestUser.
*At this step also make sure your password is more than 6 characters. Battle.net's Leagues selection only lets you log in if you have a password longer than 6 characters. So check this too!
Ok great now my ladder name is set! Lets go log onto the league!
Now go to the leagues selection area and now it will say "waiting for stats" and you will see your stats on the right. Mine are 5-8 cuz I'm mad n00b and out of practice, but enough of that. Look carefully and see that I am entering my WGTour Nickname in the selection box, NOT my ladder name. Since they are different this should show you that it does make a difference. So I put QuiKSilveR and my password and the login button becomes selectable. You click LOGIN, not link accounts. People were trying this and it froze their Brood War. That's not working so don't bother. Now click login!
And look, you should be online! If you still cannot connect after this tutorial you may need to consult either Blizzard Support or your ISP. Also I am not 100% sure about this but if you are using a MAC it probably won't work, but don't quote me on that.

Nice post Amber.
But it appears many players are not seeing the WGTour in the leage even when it is in the correct place. My friend even sent me a screenshot of it in the right folder with the path clearly visible. There IS a problem. Thing is, it has nothing to do with firewalls/routers, because starcraft does not look through the internet for the .mpq file. It looks on your computer. So it is to do with the computer and the programs on it.
My theory is, its spyware/adware/malware or virus that is effecting these players that cannot see WGT league. There is alot of people having this problem, and some of them are not noobs and know how to extract a zip file. lol
Ive thought of countless theories. Some ideas -
- Make sure folders are all accessible and you are logged on with the admin account. - Make sure they are NOT read-only, as SC has to write to the file and folder. (some programs extract files making folders read-only, god knows why you would do this, but I am pretty sure it is an option in some programs). - Some people have said they have virtual drives. Perhaps this is messing with it. Best thing to do is install SC in the default location (c:/program files/starcraft) - Make sure your OS is up to date
Other than that I really dont know.
one thing is for sure. the LDK is not perfect. And there is many bugs. I myself am feelin the bitch of the bugs. My BW been crashing on me when logged in to WGT and as a result, I now cannot access Europe gateway as bnet thinks I am on mutliple accounts and i am temp IP banned. Frustrating!
Oh and, it works just fine for MAC. But the bug crashes have been effecting me T_T

HEY BITCHES
I need some help. I can log in to the ladder, but an L doesn't go by my name. I just got digital cable, might that have something to do with it? Some games seem to transfer to my account, but when I started playing today only losses transferred?
SO: How can I get the L by my name? Why were games transferring yesterday but not today?
Is there a huge lag time to transfer games or something?

Read Chewits tips; and also... I don't know if it might be it but your Starcraft is not in the default folder. I know it shouldn't matter but perhaps you could experiment with different path&HDD installs and see if it is the problem. At least Leagues work for the majority of us, I'd say 95% or more.

Btw, my folders and files were in read only mode, i changed them all. I still get the "no leagues installed" message.
I ran updated antivirus yesterday, also i have an up to date version of Windows XP (original).

Ok, it seems im narrowing down the options. Whenever i deactivate "Read only for a folder" or a file in the starcraft folder, after I apply and save changes, if i right click it again, it has the read only box still ticked. Anyone help me keep it on write mode?
