I need your help as it's KILLING me that I cannot remember this type of Brood War custom game genre. I cannot sleep well right now because of it:
Players have 1 zergling per player
A lane of flat land about 1 screen in size with a beacon on the other side. The goal was to get the zergling to the beacon without dying.
On the lane of land there would be an pereptually repeating pattern of units (most popular was Archons and Dark Archons) spawning, then instantly exploding. Each player had to navigate their zergling through these "exploding" archons without touching them. The repeating pattern of explosions would get harder and harder as the players reached the beacon and "levelled up". The lane of land would never change, just the exploding patterns would get harder and harder.
It's not the current junk "run ling run" that kids are tortured with now adays.
Thanks, and I hope there are still brood war players out there that remember what I am talking about!
P.S. It's not dodge the rapist / dodge Michael Jackson / dodge the observer, but it's not too far off.
Thank you so much for your collective brood war powers. It's literally killing me that I can't remember this old fun game type.
