The preview VOD includes him playing some BW. What does it mean?
Korean media have reported that Nal_rA was essentially fired from his job as an LOL caster (although not formally) and left OGN voluntarily (at least on paper). He was then hired to broadcast Chinese LPL (an LOL league? I know nothing about that world) through Afreeca, but that was cancelled due to mysterious and unexplained technical difficulties. Now he has started a personal channel on Afreeca called ENM (= Esports New Media) and will produce content related to BW, LOL, and even FPS games.
I guess OGN wanted to replace Nal_rA with CloudTemplar so he was the guy who had to take the chop. I wouldn't call him absolutely awful as a League caster, but when you have seasoned veterans like CloudTemplar and Reapered who actually know the game AND can articulate well to a wide audience, it's hard to compete with them.
Although it sucks that Nal_rA is fired from his LoL job, we now have Nal_rA, Kim Carrier,TheMarine and the other two guys whos name evades me all to cast BW tournaments again \o/

I was with BW since the mid 2000s. I love TBLS just as much as the next #BW4EVER fan, and I have tons of respect for the older generation, namely nal_ra, iloveoov, nada, etc.
Doesn't change what I said at all though.
Reality is harsh, and some will find it offending.
nal_ra was fired from his job while people like bisu, jangbi, jaehoon voluntarily quit sc2 because they didnt like sc2, not because they are completely bad at it (they are actually shown to be improving by the time they quit)

Reality is tough. But no point in saying things the way you did. Everyone has a right to return to a profession if their next one didn't work out. He took a chance and if he is using Brood War to put food on the table then good for him. You're negative attitude is a poor one and I would encourage all posters in this forum to be positive and supportive of new and old people coming to Brood War.
