why not post in the small vod thread then to show your appreciation? Appreciation posts don't get warned or banned, but other posts that deflect from the thread's main purpose do.

Friends not all is matter of life or death... ban or no ban... we discuss game. Now who here is excite to see Brain play in ASL soon? He is good player from what I see him in ro24. Very exciting! I had never even hear of him before but he beat Light and Mind!
Hi there, its a pretty simple question. I hope its not against the rules to ask in General Discussion. Can you guys point me torwards UMS to practice specifics like cloning? What are the techniques a BW player should learn to do and are there UMS to learn them? I heard in an ASL cast the pros use specific maps to practice certain aspects of the game.

He was a b-teamer back in the kespa days, under the name Sea.kh I believe. For the past years he has been the best fastest money maps players, he has a big youtube channel.

Probably would have been better to look up the strategy section or Liquipedia, but the answer is pretty short.
If you scout it early enough, pull 6ish probes and kill the gateway. Even if he remakes it, you'll be ahead in zealots and snowball. If you scout it late (gateway has already finished and producing a zealot, second gate almost finished), two gates and a shield battery, really good micro, pull 4-5 probes to fight (but try to save them as much as possible). If you miss it entirely until the first zealot starts attacking your stuff, you lose.

Thank you, I've started to play ladder recently, but most of the game people cheese. Atleast 70% of pvp is 2 gate proxy in the middle of the map

2 gate in your main is a pretty hard counter. You've got 2 gate in main, he's got two stupid looking gateways that he built late in the middle of the map that you will kill because you have better economy. If it's really 70%, you'll win 70% of your games for free and rank up quickly to where people stop doing that.
All I'm saying is you don't have to overthink it or try to play the most economic safe strategy you can at low levels. Try a simple solution first. If they don't do two gate proxy, then you can try to learn about how you catch up when you're behind with drops and tech and have plenty of opportunity to practice mechanics and see if you can make up the gap.
The reason so many people proxy cheese is because a lot of people think the only way to play is with a very greedy expansions, so they're just countering the meta. You have to be really good to play an economic opening and completely deflect aggressive builds.

i think a very simple explanation to why a lot of people proxy in pvp, even on 4p maps, is because they don't know what to do. if you expand and they don't, how many probes are you supposed to make? how fast are you supposed to tech? they leave these decisions to the suits in washington

To add to this, if you're 2 Gate and they do 1 Gate tech, you're really only behind in one metric - tech. You're still ahead in army and production. Use that to pressure them and force them to pull Probes and waste time on micro or blocking ramp, making a Shield Battery, etc. In the meantime you can go for 5 Zealot Nexus (with Forge follow-up) or get tech of your own in that time. They will have higher net gas mined but it's possible that you've slowed them down enough to be even behind you economically outside of that. In my personal experience, people don't even counter 2 Gate Nexus with 1 Gate tech all that well until 1900 or so.
