Ok so, the reason why you may have heard this is that the term was born from Savior in the first place. There were no Bonjwa before Savior; those terms were retroactively accepted for Boxer, Nada, and Oov. Savior was so dominant he gave birth to the term. There were also no Bonjwa since him, because Bisu failed the path to ascendancy, and then soon after the Flash/Jaedong rivalry started, which changed the dynamic of the storyline (a Bonjwa is historically unrivaled). I would recommend every finals that Savior has been a part of as a starting point, including the one he won against Nada a mere 2? weeks prior to losing to Bisu. This was a a time when maps were heavily favored against Zerg according to the statistics, and Savior was contributing more wins than the rest of all Zerg players on those maps in tournament. It was an uncanny dominance. TLPD is your friend in this. EDIT: Also don't listen to the trolls above. I understand Savior is a hated figure in the scene, but that is no reason to ignore his actual play. Check these VOD and see which games you want to see in their entirety: The highlights, from what I understand, don't do the actual play justice. Reason is, you see Marines walking on top of Lurkers and think "the Terran was just bad" or "in 2006 all players were bad," but what Savior did was distract the opponent in 3 places at once so you end up losing your army to a hidden Lurker anyway, at least as far as I recall from analysis of higher level minds in the scene. | ||
