What does the "or hidden" mean in "cannot be cloaked or hidden" anyway?
The first quote is general, I'll admit, then the second introduces a special case. Unfortunately, there is unit, cloaked unit, vision and detection vision. And no mention of detection vision interacting with hallucination.

From having played a ton of SC:BW I automatically read it such as that arbiter cloak, nor burrow (which is mentioned on the page) would be work to 'hide' it, so don't bother trying to hide it from detectors. I believe - recalling from memory here - you can load hallucinations into shuttles/dropships which could be seen as a way of hiding. Anyway. You're right: it should be edited. If you have a suggestions, please submit them on liquipedia.
Edit: For now I've removed 'or hidden' to avoid future confusion.

I got the weirdest bug: Over the years I have accumulated quiet a lot of battle net accounts and given that blizz seems to be handing out beta invites for SCR by the day, I usually check all of them once per day. Doing so today I discovered the weirdest thing: Some accounts get the new HD cursor upon login while others keep the old cursor that I get when I'm not logged in. And all accounts don't have SCR beta access.

Anyone else noticing that starcraft is basically forcing your windows resolution to 1920x1080 when tabbing? Really annoying

Tough question. It'll depend on how the metagame develops around a spell-less Brood War. Matchups change the situation around a bit, like:
TvZ - Zerg wins
Terran are very reliant on Science Vessels to counteract Mutalisk harassment. Without the ability to cast Irradiate, Heal or Stimpack, Muta harassment becomes fifteen times more effective. Building mass Goliaths to counteract this would lead to Terran being heavily countered in other areas. Without the ability to cast EMPs or Irradiates, SK Terran will also be unviable as a build order.
Terran could perhaps win a game with a pure Mech build but having to turtle against Mutalisk harassment will basically result in a self-contain situation, giving the Zerg player freedom to take bases across the entire map and outmacro.
The only time Terran will be strong is in the late game if they manage to build up a critical mass of Siege Tanks since there will be no Defilers to cast Plague or Dark Swarm, but at that point it's too little too late to even matter.
Oh wait, I forgot, Siege Mode is an ability. Nevermind. Zerg wins by default.
ZvP - Debatable
On one hand, Zerg has a huge advantage against Protoss in terms of how reliant they are on spellcasters in this matchup. Protoss rely far more on High Templar and Arbiters than Zerg does on Defilers and Queens.
On the other hand, Protoss can use Reavers instead of High Templar to inflict splash damage whereas Zerg have no substitutes for Dark Swarm.
It wouldn't affect the early game since the Bisu Build and the Zerg response to counteract it doesn't involve spellcasters. It will affect play later in the game though, especially since High Templar can't cast spells nor morph into Archons and Lurkers can't burrow. Victory will likely depend on timing attacks with Tier 1 and Tier 2 units, but Zerg has the obvious advantage in the late game.
TvP - Protoss wins
Both races rely heavily on spells and abilities in this matchup but Terran is moreso susceptible, since they rely heavily on zoning with Spider Mines and Siege Tanks, Without mines or Siege Mode, they will get overwhelmed by Gateway units alone.

Arbiters in ZvP? O_o That really only works on the scrub tier. Without a doubt Zerg would have a major advantage in a no-spell scenario.

Morphing archon/lurker and burrowing Lurker are most assuredly NOT spells as they don't need to be researched and cost no mana. Heal is debatable.

I was wondering if it was possible to have a Custom Maps subforum under Brood War, just like for SC2. I have been making maps since 2006, and there are others who have been doing it for even longer, or just as long as me, or some that want to get into map making. Map making is very important for BW, and it has shaped how the game has been played over almost 2 decades.
There are times where I would want to share my map, or even somebody else's, or even engage in map theory/discussion that is relevant to today's BW, but I don't want to clog up the general forum and it doesn't really belong in the others.
Is there a reason why we don't have one? Not enough BW Forum staff, etc? And any thoughts on the subject in general?

BW won't have matchmaking or ranked ladder as I understand it, only remastered.

Blizzard really went all out with the server descriptions in the server select menu huh?
Apparently East is hosted in the "City of the big shoulders" which i had to google.I've heard Chicago called The windy city but not that, I'm not American though of course.
They also claim East has more users than West and that East players use more strategies than West or something? I got a laugh out of it all.
