I am satisfied but not thrilled with this chapter, i would have liked to better understand the Protoss language. I could not find enough evidence to justify Protoss heroes like Zeratul and aldaris, so instead i focused more on the buildings and upgrades, and units of course. Enjoy

More about worms:
+ Show Spoiler +
Worms or earth-worms have no eyes, and are deaf, but the anterior part of there body is more sensitive than the rest. Hermaphrodites with both male & female organs in the same body.
Darwin spent a lot of his last years studying them and states at the end of his last book (Earthworms 1881):
"It may be doubted whether there are many other animals which have played so important a part in the history of the world, as have these lowly organised creatures."
Simbolism: It can be seen as a phallic symbol, masculine.
A recurrent legend - there are instances in China, South America and Iceland- has it that the Human race wa created from worms whitin the corps of a primordial being.
In Christianity the worm is a symbol of evil and the devil, and was implicated in the fall and expulsion from paradise.
The Syberian Chukchi (native people of the Chukchi peninsula in East Russia) identify the worm as a fertility symbol, placing it in dolls worn by women to protect them from sterility.
Note: reavers are also a team of villains(1988) in Marvel comics and a character in the manga Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind(1986)
a worm is also informally known as "a week, lowlife individual" .

A creature in D&D:
Celestial Archons are wholly good and lawful and are consistently at odds with fiends(Fiend mean a demon, an evil spirit) of any kind, though they particularly despise demons.
Elemental archons often wander the lands to preach to the common folk and attempt to direct them to worship of the god representing their own element. They are known to be incredibly arrogant and self-centered.

It is important to remember that with the exeption of the robotics facility (which creates robotic non "living" things) all other Protoss structures do not "create" units inside them but instead "warp them in from Aiur" . "this is suggested by "I have returned" , "teleport successfull" , "carrier has arrived" .
3 recurrent numbers in Protoss buildings are the number 3 (found in many tech structures), 4 (found in both economical and military production facilities) and 8 [found in defensive (or offensive for that reason) structures)
The arbiter tribunal (having 6 and 4)and to a lesser extent the fleet bacon are exceptions to these rules.
I have thought long about the stargate, and personally I cannot relate it to anything at all. It seems "alien" and "foreigner" to me, if contronted with other Protoss structures, so if you have any insights about it i would like to hear about it.

origin: From Latin "a binding together" , from nex-nectere , "bind" .

Symbolism: The nexuses central structure appears very similar to Egyptian pyramids, or Mayan temples with the classic staircase going up toward the top. The staircase was built in a manner such that ones back would never face the top of the temple walking up and down. These civilizations where also avid students of astronomy;
![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/lcWiQ.gif)
The four columns pointing upwards, together with the pyramidal/temple structure sugjest there connection to the skyes and the universe, as well as primitive tribal aspects.

Gateway:
+ Show Spoiler +
"an opening that can be closed by a gate" .
Gate: "an exit from an airport building to an aircraft" .
Symbolism: The gate is an entryway into an unknown place, or a place of great significance; it is a threshold, and may connect the living and the dead. They are normally guarded by symbolic animals: the lion, dragon, bull and dog are often depicted in conjunction with the gate. In many cultures, passing through a gateway signifies a right of passage.
The gate is clearly phallic, and represents feminine passage with the vulva. A gate with two pillars - androgyne. It can be the function of a door between life and death - gates of Heaven. Justice, mercy, praise and righteousness are also related symbols.
The androgyne represents the mystery of creation, the origin of life in the universe which began the cosmologic cycle. If Adam was created in God's image, thus inherently bisexual, the introduction of the female symbolizes the beginning of the fall from a state of perfection into duality. According to Plato, marriage is an attempt to restore the androgynous unity that was eternally lost with Adam and the creation of Eve. Androgyny is also the beginning and the end, as is Alpha and Omega; it is about nature, both dualism and wholeness, the reunion of the original male-female essences. Loss of the sense of separateness in personality. Often a masculine attribute on a woman's body is represenatative of solid and profound judgment. Can be related to witchcraft when the clothes of the opposite sex are worn in a dancing ceremony.

In fact, the gateway resembles the Alpha letter in Greek. And the warp gate, used in the starcraft campaign, resembles the Omega letter.
Α Alpha and Omega Ω
Alpha is the beginning, from which all things proceed. Together, they are the first and the last letters in the Greek alphabet, and thus represent the totality, the beginning and the end; they symbolize the entire range of sounds, also infinity. These letters, as paralleled in the Hebrew language, have a numerical value as well. They are sometimes portrayed by the eagle and the owl, day and night, and as they are the cycle of time for everything that exists, they are said to contain the key to the universe. The shape of Alpha is related to a pair of compasses -- an attribute of god the creator, while Omega's shape is similar to a torch -- the fire of apolcalyptic destruction. Often appear as a bird and a fish respectively, or the upper and lower Abyss.

Others have proposed French corps "body" or cor "horn" as the origin. The primary sense of core was formally expressed with colk , which remains in dialect and refers to "core of an apple" , "heart of wood" . I should mention also, a guy sent me a PM suggesting that Terran Hero Alexei Stukov might be inspired by this guy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georgy_Zhukov . I' ve been reading about him and He seemed to be a brilliant and extraordinary strategist (and extremly loyal) . I have not had time to go into Terran upgrades, and also Zhukov.
I' m afraid for Chapter III you' ll have to wait 2 weeks instead of one, but over covering Zerg i will cover terran upgrades, and write about my thoughts of the whole research and make a complete PDF of all 3 Chapters.
