Before 1.13 i have used the mini12b.exe from the russian site to install the game to work. And then i used the patcher 1.13 which upgrades from 1.12 to 1.13. But now all these patches appeared like 1.13c, 1.13d and finnaly 1.13e.

I downloaded the patch from blizzard the one with 23mb but when i try to upgrade to version 1.13 it says "The system cannot find the file specified" and the filename is storm.dll.

The same patch works at home where i have the original cd's. But i was wondering if anyone solved this problem without the original cd's?

hopefully they update the 7x patcher.

You can't apply the official patch to the Mini SC. However, you can update through Battle.net, so connect to B.net with Mini SC and let B.net make the update for you.

i use alcohol 120% so i never need the disc or cracks. what is miniSC?

Question: If I want to use different versions of sc-->do I only need the starcraft.exe's from the different versions?

updates don't work either, to my knowledge...
I dunno if works, if you patch it first to 1.13...
but straight from 1.12b it will come up with the same error.
my friend says he has no problems with sc mini being patched... but I don't know if he has problems with it.
minisc is exactly as it says... a small version of brood war used for multiplayer gaming only, and with only the necessities.

Probe can u ask your friend if it works from 1.12b? And if it does how does he do it? I tryied it from every single patch like 1.09 to update straight to 1.13e but doesn't work. I have tryied to figure the storm.dll option in patcher but i have come insuccesfull.

It's not possible to patch mini sc, either through battle.net or through the updater-file.

Wait until they update 7x patcher to 1.13e (if they ever) or bring your cd from home, patch it, and take it back with you (it works with the cd in the drive, with certain settings).

yea, he's not online... it was just a conversation... I said mini 1.12b couldn't be patched, and he seemed to think it could (he said he was using it - but I don't really believe him -_-;

but I really do believe it can't be patched
like marcX says, gotta wait for 7x patcher to 1.13e

The programmer who did this awesome job to make it into 20mb and the patcher stuff was just awesome, although i think they were bored to just keep it updated everytime a new patch arrives. That's just a wild guess but who knows? Maybe i'm right

Im a mini sc user and all you have to do after getting 1.13 is login to battle and itll update it by itself.

I had the same problem (i dont have my sc cd, only the cdkey) and aus ppl wanted me to play in a nation war (which will be my first non wcg sc game since i quit) so i've been trying to get bwmini to work as well.

download bwlauncher copy all the files into your sc folder and run the original loader and it worked fine for me.
