I think the full Midas interview will be up shortly, and it'll be another day before my translations are posted on Fomos Global, so I think you can expect it in a couple days.
I wasn't really going to translate the Anytime one because it was too long and I was tired after translating the two-part mega interview with Flash, but Milkis told me to translate it because the community deserves to know the truth. This means Milkis still cares for eSports! Yay!!
Feel free to leave a short reply at the end of the Fomos article, you don't need an actual Fomos account (the ID blank, you just make up whatever temporary name for yourself). I've sent in the translation for interview with one of the former MBC commentators Lee Seung Won (known as the commentator bonjwa), so that one should be available tomorrow. He talks about his thoughts regarding closure of MBCGame, how the situation was handled, the legacy of MSL, his lifestyle and fashion, and future plans as a commentator of OGN (he is going to commentate for OGN, don't worry!!!). Do you guys want to see that one? I don't want to spam too many threads with different translations, so I think I might try to check responses before posting the next one.

Seriously ... Losing Anytime is such a waste, that i feel like e-sports doesn't have a bright future . He should have gotten a dozen offers for e-sport related jobs . I give all my respect to Midas and i hope both of them have a bright future . Also it's really sad how KESPA was forced to retire 27 other progamers who have dedicated a lot to geting there , at this point switching to SC2 isn't even the best option .
Baby bear *tear*. I'm happy some teams contacted him so in a way Midas sort of got to retire on his own terms. I didn't realize he had a medical condition, and I hope it doesn't get worse from being in the military. Looking forward to the full interview.
With Anytime and Midas leaving, the older generation is now even more barren. Off the top of my head, only Stork and Iris still plays. Heck, Jaedong is probably an elder statesman these days.
Sad for Anytime I always think he underachived in solo leagues, only one OSL and one runner-up. Of course this is way more than most players ever reach, but he got overshadowed by Jaedong. In Proleague he really put up his A-game. He was my favorite SC-Kor-Protoss ever since I saw him obliterate Yellow with DTs, an will always be. I hope he finds something new to master after his progaming career. Rest is always important, but only to find something new to focus. All the best to Oh Yeong Jong, you gave me many hours of excitement, although I don't understand a single korean word.
Reading Anytime's interview, really brought out the nerd chills. I'm really sad that they're both retiring, both have bruoght great games over the years. Midas vs sAviOr <3 Anytime vs Boxer, Yellow, Calm? I'll miss these two, and the other 29 retiring players.

Anytime. Most badass Lecaf easily. T____T When he said his career didn't count for much or that his sponsor has no need for him.... the sadness starts to set for all these retirements ;;
He continued to ramble on about the blackout incident. I can summarize everything he said with a sentence he paused upon in the middle of the story: "On that night, we had our usual staff dinner and drink, and I sat in a corner - a middle-aged man in his thirties - crying."

how dare you forget Reach!
and of course THE ROCK
Xellos is from way back then as well, he's still active iirc
optical shot keeping the foreign community going for BW. You, Flamewheel, Sayle, some dude with a zergling, and the guy with snorlax (how the hell did i forget him-_______-) and Moktira, you guys are like the pillars of SCBW for me haha. :D
It seems so unfitting for stars of this caliber to exit so quietly. So bittersweet. Thank you very much for translating. I will always remember Midas's for creating FD Terran and his game vs Draco at WCG, and Anytime's tag-team proleague dominance with Jeadong during his later golden years. It's such a shame how time never waits for anyone.
Wow I was so excited and hyped waiting for the first pro league game to start and didn't know what to do with the extra hour I have left so I read the Anytime interview. Now I almost want to cry.
The pictures seem so emotive. He really wasn't ready to retire, he did so much for OZ was a real rock for everyone behind the scenes you can just tell. He was no longer completive enough to compete in live games for OZ but I think he was so important for the team outside of the games and especially for the young Protoss players making their way up. OZ came to a rather abrupt and sad end and so did his carrier as there was a place there for him supporting the players of that team for at least another couple of years if OZ where still around and that is clearly where he wanted to be.
It sounds like he's saved a bit of money and doesn't have any finical problems but he just wasn't ready to move on and doesn't know what's next. I hope he finds something he can enjoy and I hope other players stay in contact with him and support him. Anytime will be sorely missed.
T_T I couldn't help but feel really sad reading Anytime's interview, his retirement doesn't feel natural at all.
I'm don't have many regrets regarding my playing career, but I thought I built up quite a name for myself during the long years and it disappoints me now that all that was for nothing
This gave me a heavy feeling in my heart, it wasn't all for nothing Anytime T_T
His wise words should be heard by all people and not just progamers. I hope he's successful in whatever he chooses to pursue and I hope we see him maybe in studio watching PL at some point (shame he couldn't be a coach). I will miss you Anytime, and I hope you can sleep well soon.
I wish a lot of these progamers retiring could have went out with a bang instead of this whimper...
Thanks OpticalShot for the translations. Can't wait to read the full Midas interivew
I thought I was freezing, then I realized it was only the nerd chills on my back. Goodbye Midas! I will never forget your game vs Savior on Hitchhiker. You were deep down my favorite!
And Anytime, such a gentleman, such a legend! After reading interviews on how hard these guys work, and how they support their familys, I really respect them so much more.
Anytime the first progame I ever saw was you wiping the floor with Stork in the proleague finals. So in a sense I have all of this thanks to you. Sigh.
Anytime was always my 2nd favorite Toss. So badass. I remember his interview in ACE when he talked about how the younger Protoss players in Lecaf didn't listen to his advice. Man... sad retirement. He should come back and coach the SKT Protoss line

Regardless of what happens in the future of E-sports or what personal preferences people have. This is history that needs preserving. Anytime was/is a hero of mine for a long time and my memory is so shit I can't even remeber this interview even though I can remeber it was one of the most depressing things I ever read.
