I expect a lot of them will disband. As teams, the current practice methods simply cannot match the Koreans. I wouldn't say that would be the case, since now, there is an actual scene with alot of money on the line outside Korea, so it still may be profitable for them. That's because most sc2 fans are foreign fans. Sponsor always follow the fans. Only time can tell how loyal they will be. I guess fans probably would follow the top-level SC2 leagues, but if e-sports actually picks up a bit more steam, it's possible that casual interest will be in domestic leagues, a bit like what is happening with soccer: fans watch local leagues religiously, but hardcore fans (and the betting community) follow every major European match. good point

Firstly, as far as I understand, Kespa is an organisation that consists of sponsors. The current teams in Korea don't necessarily share the same sponsors, so will they get represented the same? If not, will the current set of SC2 progamers be given the same representation in the PL, or will this be a case of the so called Code B players joining BW teams, and those players getting to represent their new teams in the Proleague. Could we then see the higher players start doing the same, so they could compete in Proleague? My first concern was that this could cause a division in the scene, that hasn't fully grown yet. The last thing i want to see is a Gretech/Kespa battle and the Korean scene caught in the middle On October 20 2011 17:27 ladyumbra wrote: Having read the whole thread now I find it somewhat distressing how divided the community is. I feel like I'm doing it wrong somehow by loving both games. I respect and appreciate each game for what it is and what it is not, perhaps because I think of them as separate but related games and I can take each on it's own merit. I like to think I found SC2 by chance so I could stumble onto BW by fate. I honestly think that there is a higher chance of good coming from this than bad but it's impossible to know unless a deal is struck and solid details emerge. This is my second concern. This hasn't even been confirmed yet, but there are already arguments about how having SC2 in between BW games will be terrible, or the newer members of TL (yes that includes me, but I try to avoid the entire subject) acting smug and talking about "evolution" or players switching. Sure, maybe players want to try out SC2. Great. Cool. Fantastic. Leave it and stop arguing. You have a love for a game, so do I. Why does it always have to be an argument about what game is better and why? Why is difficulty always coming up? Day9 once stated that there are people out there who show their love for the game by shitting on everything else, and the last thing I want to see is that happening after this announcement happens (if it happens) Thirdly....there's way too much good SC2 out right now. I can barely keep up. I didn't ahve internet for MLG, and now I'm having troubles catching up, while watching GSL and NASL and WCG...and Blizzcon is coming as well. I have a job, I can't keep up with all of this ![]() But that's how I feel. Hope you're all having a good day

Sure, if there are overlaps allowed. While competition is always god, I don't want restrictions on the competitors. Say this goes through, and you have to pick a side. I'd hate that so much. I want to see MVP in both competitions, not have to choose which side he wants to compete in

![]() But i guess their real plan is to interest sc2 people into bw and the other way round, so they will gain alot from this duality. Also allows them some show matches like bw top dog playing the sc2 top dog in bw and sc2.

No. It sounds about right to me. I'm pretty sure that if you give Flash a short amount of time, there's mistake that he'll wreck everyone on tour right now. Korea is still heavy on BW. Sponsors won't force them to switch.

So, a week seems enough for you to learn everything about mechanics, the whole metagame of every match up, on every map, and be the best in the world at that..? You should stop jerking off at our SCBW gods and acknowledge that it will takes a _little_ more time than that to any top SCBW player to be able to "crush" a Mvp or a Nestea.

no offense but sc2 doesnt compare to bw in entertainment value and tbh i dont want to see half the proleague season streaming sc2 games which im not interested in at all besides...doesnt sc2 have like 87685868 other leagues already hard to follow the scene enough already, dont need to make it worse
