Fans of Brood War need to realize that the only thing that can come out of this is SC2 slowly taking media space from BroodWar and eventually killing it. And one more thing: Why are they even trying to combine this two games, except for name of the game and few units with same name they don`t have anything in common. Mechanics and gameplay is TOTALLY different. Blizzard is making tons of money from SC2 just just because it is sequel to Brood War,and now Kespa (or whoever it is) is trying to do the same. You say it is a great game, you say it`s better then Brood War? Fine. Start from 0 like Brood War did and then come to me in 10 years and we`ll see where will your game be then. It`s pretty easy to just take over from Brood War. But also it`s pretty unjust. You guys should really stop being so bitter. Evolution cannot be stopped no matter how much you like or dislike it.

Sorry, I think I'm better now. Seriously, this will really help grow SC2 in KR, which has kinda been lagging behind the rest of the world. What does that mean? More BW pros switching over.

I would be even more interested if BW and SC2 were formed under a single proleague where both games were critical towards the success of a team. Sort of like how CGS used to operate but without different genres and an equal point system. You guys should really stop being so bitter. Evolution cannot be stopped no matter how much you like or dislike it. There are legitimate arguments that SC2 is the opposite of evolution if you value gameplay mechanics and unit design.

1) More hype 2) Changed gameplay and potentially fixed flaws will lead to players taking a 2nd look at SC2 3) There's going to be a disruptive period in the lead up to the expansion (and some months afterwards) where players may be unable to split their attention between SC2 vanilla tourneys and HotS beta, and balance could be all out of whack 4) More time to see how BW (both the scene and the community) fares as is

Why would you be happy with the foreign scene only being good while korea isn't taking the game seriously? We should want a challenge. I think the problem is more like people worry that kespa will bring an isolationism attitude towards SC2, not that koreans will be so much better than foreigners that it'll instantly kill the foreign scene. Even BW good pros will take a while to catch up in SC2, the mechanics are different, the strategies are different, plus foreigners have a lot more support, teamhouses, can practice more since they don't need another job to make a living etc so I doubt the gap would ever be as big as BW. Just hoping Kespa doesn't do things like not having any english casts for SC2 like GOM has or not allowing their players to go to international events etc. SC2 has only thrived because the international community embraced it. I hope GOM and kespa can coexist and both thrive or combine their efforts because GOM has worked really hard and been great to the international community.

Do you think Kespa would host stuff like GSL Worlds, fly foreigners over, rent a dedicated house for our players, partner with MLG (before MLG became this big)? Meanwhile, if Kespa were to take over, we'd be lucky just to get an English cast. GOM can peacefully co-exist with a KeSPA run proleague. OGN/MBC never had to shut down their individual leagues when proleague grew to the size it was. I don't see why GSL has to either.

kespa must acquire sublicenses from gretech to do sc2 pro leagues i believe they definately should do it as they could promote sc2 as a whole and progamers will get more money On October 20 2011 04:33 wxwx wrote: Why is everyone so quick to let go of gomtv?
