There is still GOMTV with 2 year contract.

Current teams being sacrificed on the altar? Having to change names? I am not familiar with BW/SC2/eSports in Korea, but how is that a good thing? basically no more bw rivalry and new players influx. What? How is the rivalry gone,if anything the rivalry has increased, you're convinced that SC2 will kill BW however that is not going to be the case, they will be running side by side now. The epic rivalry of this year was Flash vs his wrist and the best rookies after Effort are crazy hydra and snow, which by no means are the new Jaedong or Bisu. There really isn't a great influx of many new players, Flash JD and Bisu can still play to their 30s and be the best.
Hey, that Soulkey kid is pretty good.
...who am I kidding, 35 year old Jaedong would still probably be better than him.

Don't kill the GSL.

10 more years, there would be SC5 or SC6 .. what will happen to SC3 then? Wait 10 more years .. I highly doubt that's gonna work.

exciting news is exciting! Only thing i can do is sit back relax and see how this will evolve. This can be the start of something amazing and bigger than we can imagine.

i see good things to come

For me, bottom line is I like to play bw much more than I like to play SC2. If the current bw pros switch when given the chance it just means they don't share that sentiment. I'd be very sad if that is the case. It'd be a pretty big loss for me to have my favorite game be officially outdated with no new blood and a miniscule community.

Does that come as a surprise to any of you? Of course everyone will change as soon as it is bigger than Broodwar and if they still want to be a progamers.

Why would you be happy with the foreign scene only being good while korea isn't taking the game seriously? We should want a challenge.

That's some damn good news, provided SC2 never gets put under the tyranny that is Kespa all will be fine.

Yeah I've been rlthinking about this for days, either all foreigners move to Korea or they have to go through what they did in BW again.

The few foreigners that are able to keep up with koreans constantly are those who live and practice in Korea.

There is an absolute 0% chance the foreign scene can keep up just based on the differences between the two societies.
