It's not a bad thing that KeSPA is running an SC2 PL,they wouldn't do it if it would hurt BW(because BW is their everything). That is the ideal. But don't trust Kespa too much. The amount of stuff they've been doing to save BW so far has kinda justified my faith in them.

Right now they might need to have some success in ladder/tournaments or whatnot and play a couple games agains the team but thats about it. Foreign teams might be a bit tougher with this though. Will there be a "courage" for SC2 in the future? maybe.

With HOTS, i expect a lot of proteams switching to SC2 - not because of blizzard, but the lack of sponsors for korean teams and the fact that SC2 managed to go global, unlike SC:BW Idk. The only way I see this happening is if Blizzard is willing to use the millions of dollars they get from WoW subscriptions for prize pools big enough to convince A-list BW pros to move over. I stand by the prediction that they're coming to Blizzcon to do a pro player Q&A panel. + Show Spoiler + Okay I'm kidding myself way too hard. This is too good to be true.

Foreign scene might be a bit tougher though. this is saddening, id rather not see "professional" players who are grand master on the north american ladder but go 2-30 in a tournament participate in proleague (incontrol im looking at you)

They are only considering this because of the foreign scene IMO. Would be pretty stupid to zone out the biggest success component of sc2,because lets face it,if it weren't for the foreign fans,sc2 in Korea would be dead already. By that I mean foreign fans love to see their players compete against Koreans especially. I think the biggest focus will be getting more foreign players into Korea as much as possible.

It doesn't make any sense to have one set of BW and then the next set of SC2. It's more practical for SC2 to have their own competition, like how SF has a version of Proleague.

Wait 10 more years .. I highly doubt that's gonna work. You think there'll be an SC6 in 10 years? Vanilla SC to SC2 took 12 years. There's no need to worry about SC3 hitting the scene anytime soon. You sure about that? From what I heard from the great exploiter named Kotick, they'll be making sequels from their titles every year. so in every decade, id be expecting atleast 2 new SC titles, 1 Diablo, 5 CoDs, 3 WoW Expansions. The problem is SC doesn't function like CoD/Diablo/WoW/etc do. SC has an intensely dedicated pro scene. It's a game that is strengthened by the number of years it's been played. With SC2, Blizzard is actually able to directly cash in on that scene. Though obviously nothing is certain, I don't see Blizzard pushing out new SC#'s often that would split the fan base even further. It'd make more sense for them to increase the strength of the SC2 scene to make it stable, sustaining, and consistently profitable.
