Bisu, Fantasy, and JangBi would be utterly retarded to switch to SC2 at this point in their careers. They'd make a lot less money, end of story.

For Jaedong, it'd be a huge risk, but he doesn't have a team and Nada's said a top-level Zerg would dominate SC2 in a way a top level Terran or Toss wouldn't. Even then, though, he'd be giving up a near-certain shot at 6 figures for a maybe chance at 6 figures, which is kind of a weak play.

That's interesting, why would a zerg dominate more than a terran/protoss?

SC2 toss is unstable as hell ( both due to meta shifts and blizzard's attempts to balance the whole race around one goddamn mirror match strat that does not die) so even a top level player switching would be unlikely to dominate given how often even the basic things like unit and tech build times change. Plus domination includes winning your mirror and as amusing as sc2 PvP can be at times more often than not it's a coinflippy clusterfuck. Which isn't to say that someone like Bisu wouldn't rape face as sc2 toss just that the race itself is not stable enough for even his skills to guarantee consistent success.

Terran at least in Korea is most dominant and the most figured out race, there's too many truly good terrans for one to stay on top for very long. A top BW terran coming over would be able to adapt very quickly and would easily join the upper echelon of terran pros now but there's no guarantee he could stand head and shoulders above the others. So I guess a terran switching could dominate but they wouldn't really stand out given players like MMA and MVP are too solid to simply fade away in their presence.

Zerg currently lacks a truly well rounded champion and also has not been pushed to it's creative or skill limit. Mutas and roachburrow micro in particular can be done better than they are now, even Nestea still misses larva injects and ZvZ rarely gets past the ling baneling stage to evolve into a more dynamic matchup. Zerg is my fav race in both games ( why yes I enjoy BW and sc2) but it is infinitely less interesting in sc2. Everyone knows more can be done with the race but for the most part little more happens than adaptation. The reason so often you hear of a potential challenger to the zerg throne ( DRG, stephano) is that every now and again someone figures something out about zerg and bam they get a brief period of success followed by mediocrity once others figure out how to deal with their discovery.

A top BW zerg has the potential to put everything together, perfect larva injects, perfect creep spread and map awareness, a better understanding of positional fighting ( please god let more zerg players figure this out), top unit control and most importantly planning. No zerg has all of these and a high winrate against everyone right now. Nestea is arguably the best sc2 zerg have to offer and even he has some terrible decision making and unit control at times. He's a monster to be sure but even he himself points out his greatest skill is in planning builds based around studying his opponent. If his opponent acts strangely things tend to go wrong for him and he is not as flexible as he could be. Despite Nestea being the better overall zerg I would posit that July is sometimes the stronger zerg ( he just gets it better than other players do) and if he would just learn to fucking spread creep he'd have less preventable losses.

Any truly talented RTS player who took up zerg and could harness all the above skills could destroy a lot of people. A BW pro has the best likelihood of being able to do all those things and show us how strong zerg truly is.

This shirt, has a very strong and meaningful yet humorous slogan

Okay, no flame me because I said things too negative about Fantasy.
Actually he is one of my fav player keke. I decided to save this picture in my desktop.

Also, you'd think that since they're at the happiest place on earth (disneyland), Jangbi would smile a little more. y so srs face all the time.

In that last picture, Jangbi and Jaedong seem really close (Jangbi has his arm around Jaedong?) while Fantasy and Bisu are being awkward on either side.

Really good post and i think that's the way NaDa think when he says this. That's also my opinion. There's a whole lot to use as Zerg now, Nydus is almost never used, tactical banelings mines could be better... And macro perfection (hit all injects, spread creep, block expansions) hasn't been seen a lot...

it's just a bunch of photos with the headline of "These 4 BW players still has a huge fanbase!"

Bisu basically says blizzcon was awesome
quote from Fantasy
"The SC2 crowd's enthusiasm and love for the game was very cool. I wish I can play match on stages like this"
EDIT: I highly doubt fantasy is implying he wants to play sc2, so plz none of that stuff

What I found interesting was that the korean article kinda writes that these 4 players were there for not games but to enjoy blizzcon as these dudes never came to an event like this before. it just seems like Blizz brought these guys just to show them SC2 and nothing else

also they had fun in disneyland/world

Probably Jaedong asking Bisu "What's it feel like to NOT have an OSL title? I don't understand.... I have 3!" Fantasy and Jangbi nodding at each other - "Yeah even I have one..." Then Bisu makes an ugly face and things get awkward and quiet. Everyone turns to their food, Bisu pulls out his phone.

I don't know Nada's reasoning (it may have been a balance whine in disguise), but SC2 Zerg is the hardest race mechanically, doesn't benefit much from MBS, and needs to not have their units in a 1a deathball, and therefore a high-skill player can do more than Zerg than with Protoss (which is 1aish, though this is changing somewhat), and Terran (the easiest macro).

While P/T have a lot to be discovered and tightened, SC2 zerg is the only race where there are things that are 100% good (dropping changlings and sending them to scout random expoes and stuff, which is free) but that Zerg don't do for APM reasons.

My theory, anyway. Would love to know Nada's.

Never imply that Destiny and Jaedong even play in the same universe of skill. Jaedong can win with any zerg unit, in any matchup (except zvz ). Destiny relied on infestors because he wasn't very good. Jaedong to Mutas is what Stork is to Carriers.

I think he's just implying that they are their iconic unit choice, so to speak, rather than making a parallel between their skill level...

don't go to hard on him, he comes from a weird parallel universe called "SC 2 General", where such strange comparisons come up and where even ForGG is considered a bw legend =)
