It appears these four stars have been directly invited by Blizzard to attend Blizzcon, according to this article on Fomos. The headline basically says "[players names], to visit United States for Blizzcon 2011."

http://www.fomos.kr/board/board.php?mode=read&keyno=120761&db=issue

...IMO Bisu will be sexually harrassed by fangirls/boys at least once... probably JD too.

edit: (Thanks to OpticalShot for informing me) Article from DES (http://esports.dailygame.co.kr/news/read.php?id=50999) - it seems they will not be playing any matches while at Blizzcon.

Original Message From OpticalShot:
Found this on DES this morning:

Jaedong: "Looking forward to travelling to the USA with good friends"

Original article by reporter Sora Lee

+ Show Spoiler [original text] +

Brief translation:

Jaedong will travel to USA in the evening of Oct. 20 [T/N: omg he is on the plane right now, or maybe he's close to landing]. He is known to be good friends with all of his travel mates - Bisu, Fantasy, and JangBi. Moreover, Jaedong is lighthearted and jovial because he doesn't have to play any scheduled matches at Blizzcon.

In addition, Jaedong mentioned that he's looking forward to enjoying overseas the trip with Bisu. Back in 2009 WCG grand finals, the two were fairly awkward with each other. Now the two are good friends.

Due to the current circumstances, Jaedong has not been able to actively participate in map testing and pre-season practice. He said that he'll take this opportunity to chat with other players about map information and other eSports insider news as well.

Jaedong said "this is my first trip to Blizzcon so I'm very excited. Plus, I'm with my close friends so all the better. In this Blizzcon event I'll make good memories and relieve some stress as well."

I'm going to guess that despite SCBW not being a part of the competition, these four players will play some showmatches against each other.

bisu said after some searching after getting the invitation, he was surprised that blizzcon was a much bigger event than he thought, and that he's excited about this visit

I'll read it right now.

*edit: from a brief skim through, it seems like they're being directly invited by Blizzard. *edit 2: lol the Fomos comments section filled with immature kids arguing why 1) Fantasy over Flash 2) Bisu/JangBi over Stork 3) Jaedong over Hydra. Some are already speculating that this is part of Blizzard's overall evil scheme to convert these superstars to SC2, especially for the currently teamless Dong.

*edit 3: MY OPINION [not a translation] [not official stance by Blizzard or KeSPA] is that this is good for eSports (yes I like to spell it like that) in general. As long as Blizzard doesn't force these players into doing anything against their free will, the players will have a good time and be exposed to more "worldwide" eSports. Fans attending Blizzcon will be able to meet their favourite superstars, wet their pants in more than one way, take pictures, and whatever. Fans in Korea will hopefully take this as a good will measure from Blizzard that SCBW has not been forgotten. The point is that the players should be free to choose what game they want to play - both professionally and recreationally. More exposure like this will help players make that choice.

Well, according to Smix's post here, they are going to Blizzcon. No idea what for.

Sounds great though. More reasons to be angry that i cannot go.

They should have Jaedong play ForGG again, only this time have Foo Fighters play "The Pretender" live before the match!

wonder if Blizzard will ask them to play exhibtion sc2 matches, playing exhibition BW matches would make absolutely no sense as a thing for blizzard to ask of them in all honesty...

Thanks for the quick translations guys, I've updated my first post.

If someone could change the title of the post to "Bisu, Jaedong, Jangbi, Fantasy invited to Blizzcon 2011" that would be good. Thank you!

The war between Blizzard and Kespa is over . There is no reason not to invite them . Every fan of BW is a fan of the korean progamers , even if most fans have moved to SC2 . I doubt any further action will change the way the fans care for this 2 games .

Yeah...

I'm going to be pissed if they attend to play SC2 exhibition matches.

I hope they were invited to play showmatches in BW and not SC2,because otherwise....well you know what's gonna happen right.

I dont think that would be a good reason, especially since SC2 has now fully been released and so Blizzard will be wishing for SC2 to "kill" BW in a sense (it makes more sense for this, its their newer and more supported game etc.). I didnt mean the "kill" in a disrespectful sense at all (I'm a huge BW fan) but I think that, from a Blizzard standpoint, asking them to play BW doesn't make any real sense.
